Wales v Georgia

Post by pompey-zebra »

Sloppy first 10 minutes for Wales, a number of mistakes and all the invention coming from Georgia.

Nice try Jac Morgan. Bit of invention by Wales, this time at the line out. Good conversion by Priestland too.

Jac Morgan scoring for fun now! Priestland misses, but much better from Wales.

Not a bad first half.
Too many mistakes which cheaply handed the ball back but when we put pressure on we really stretched them. Shame that the third try was disallowed. We probably should be a bit further ahead.

Hopefully we keep our heads and get the next score on the board and keep moving the Georgian pack about. More tries will come if we keep a two or more score cushion and don’t give them a sniff of an upset.

Sloppy handling plays in Georgia’s hands. Humphreys will be laying into them now. Looking forward to a distinct change of pace and a few tries from the backs. We really need to put down a marker for RWC next year.

Still sloppy into the second half too. Not an inspiring performance so far.

Need a big last 20 to turn this into something respectable.

I didn’t expect the try to come from Georgia.

Normally when this AI game is so bad we can at least console ourselves that the second XV is playing.

We probably needed the old war horse AWJ to come on after 60 to steady the ship.
