Jamie Shillcock finishes his short term deal at Bath and moves on. One game Vs Leicester where he was excellent is all he action he sees. I can only presume de Glanville is fit again and Bath are being careful with the cap.

Yep, TdG and Galagher are both back now.
Wish we were keeping him, and hope he lands on his feet

Can only imagine that they couldn't afford to keep him or he's got something elsewhere longer term. He's such a good player.

"Looking forward to what comes next," sounds promising.

Sounds pretty amicable based on that Twitter post. I still have hopes he'll end up at Tigers albeit probably next summer. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up doing a stint in France, if you look at the preferred type of fullback there at the minute with Ramos and Jaminet he is in that ilk though not at their level.

Radradra being linked with a move back to Bordeaux, assume with the reduction to 1 marquee and his contract being nearly up, coupled with a pretty poor injury record it was always likely. Difficult man to replace though....

Western Force is a very sweet gig. Perth at this time of year is lovely. A month or twos time maybe less so as it'll get really hot. Nice beaches some wineries on the Swan River. Much nicer place than Coventry.

Bath are now deprived of Quinn Roux and Will Stuart for a prolonged period: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/63799030

Time to go shopping in the going out of business sale again?

Did Stooke going back there ever come to anything?

I don’t know if Lewies is technically out for the season or not but really feels like we should be able to do that some of that Bath financial jiggery and get some reinforcement in that area.

I wonder if that's why they've opted not to keep Shillcock for more than a month, need to free up space for lock or prop cover. Stooke and McCallum are still both available I think. Could do a job. Stooke would make a lot of sense.

Mikey I thought Quins were going to do some and get Launchbury in early but the rumours were he'd got £60k as his best offer for the rest of the season from Prem clubs. With London prices that probably doesn't go that far (when you are used to living in the West Midlands and earning £400k, allegedly).

Bath looking at Rowlands for next season which would be a blow to Wales though if there's a freeze on the region's awarding contracts can they really enforce the 60 cap rule?

Yeah. Dalrymple said they were looking to try and make something happen...but that's not come to much.

I fear we're massively overpaying a select few players, but that there should still be that injury dispensation cap available for Lewies...unless he's just turned into useless and is actually available...

Ruck reporting that we've made an offer to Luke Cowan-Dickie

IMHO Hooker is one position we're good in - last place I'd spend more money....

Looks like the lure of France was greater for Luke....

Luke Cowan-Dickie from Exeter Chiefs to Montpellier is a done deal.

Massive contract post 2023, where he will earn more than £300k *post tax* per year.

Wow rough times for Exeter. LCD, Simmonds and possibly Nowell all off to Europe. Going to be quite a rebuild there.

If it was true Bristol were in for him then I'm very happy to see we missed out!

I was just thinking that. Combined with some of the stalwarts getting older and it's going to be difficult next season. Still, on the bright side, they'll have a fair bit of the salary cap freed up to play with.

By all accounts they were running much lower overall amounts of debt than other clubs in the Prem. It was all about not wanting to refinance some of the debt at a time of mounting interest rates wasn't it?

If you look at Simmonds and LCD they are prime age to go and play inf France for two years before coming back and looking at one more tilt at a world cup. Get some life experience, pad the bank account and maybe develop as a player along the way.

Baxter will have some cap to spend and some good out of contract players to shop round. I think Hogg is out of contract next summer as well. They could yet look to hoover up some more of the yet free Wasps and Wuss talent. I'm surprised that given Simmonds is off and that Chiefs have some many big units in the pack they haven't been more heavily linked with Willis. He could manage their tough uncompromising style and still pilfer ball for fun.

The article talks about paying back loan debt (total debt quoted at 28m) and cash flow. Without looking at their accounts, I’d suspect it’s tightening for them like everyone else and they may be quite happy to lose some expensive players. I don’t think anyone is immune, and I know clubs are all seeing a revenue dip. Probably prudently getting ahead of the curve.

Haven't seen this one on here so far - Saracens have picked up Hougaard on a short-term deal. Good signing for them, you'd've thought.

After having made his début for Toulouse off the bench last weekend, Jack Willis has been picked at 7 in the starting XV in tomorrow's home fixture against Perpignan. Perpignan's team is yet to be announced, but there's a chance that former clubmate Brad Shields will be in the side.

Edit: Shields is indeed in the Perpignan starting XV!
