Re: Irish vs Newcastle - Sat 3pm
Very much in 'must win' territory for LI here against an in form Newcastle. Finally a home game after almost exclusively playing away so far.
Great to see Coleman back involved after (another) injury. May have a limited impact from the bench in this one, but him being fit will be key in the coming months, as he's a big upgrade on the starting locks here.
Hoping our carrying game in the tight exchanges will hold up with Pearson and Fa'aso'o both missing in that back row. Pearson especially is a real loss.
Otherwise I'm glad to see Stokes getting a shot at 15. Think he's looked a little more threatening than Parton this season.

Nice to pick up the win yesterday. Really needed that with a tough run of fixtures coming up and could easily have folded when Newcastle came back into it to take the lead at the start of the second half.
Basham was the best player on the pitch for us. Got through a huge amount of work in attack and defence and most importantly, given the horror show last week, was imperious taking restarts.
