With the news that Byron McGuigan is becoming the latest player to switch allegiances (Scotland to Namibia in this case - McGuigan was born in Walvis Bay (although if you want to delve deeper he was actually born there when it was still an exclave of South Africa, so hopefully he's got his papers in order!)) I'm starting up this thread to keep track of everyone switching international sides, mainly as a bit of fun for myself as I'm an incredibly sad man. So far we have:
Israel Folau (Australia to Tonga)
Malakai Fekitoa (New Zealand to Tonga)
Charles Piutau (New Zealand to Tonga)
Byron McGuigan (Scotland to Namibia)
Richard Hardwick (Australia to Namibia)
Ruaridh McConnochie (England to Scotland)
Jack Dempsey (Australia to Scotland)
Steven Luatua (New Zealand to Samoa)
Jeff Toomaga-Allen (New Zealand to Samoa)
Tawera Kerr-Barlow could also pull on Wallaby gold and green come the summer and John Cooney becomes eligible for Scotland during the 6N. Any others I've missed?

Re: International Switchers
I believe there's been a few more Tonga switches, although I can't remember their names for the life of me. I think there was an ex-Wallaby lock?SDHoneymonster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 11:37 am With the news that Byron McGuigan is becoming the latest player to switch allegiances (Scotland to Namibia in this case - McGuigan was born in Walvis Bay (although if you want to delve deeper he was actually born there when it was still an exclave of South Africa, so hopefully he's got his papers in order!)) ETA. Lopeti Timani! Although he and Fekitoa transferred through the 7s loophole, so I don't know whether that counts for your list. Also Ngani Laumape has declared for Tonga, although has yet to be capped.
ETETA. I was also thinking of Vaea Fifita who has gone to Tonga as well.

Good to see second tier countries benefitting from this change of eligibility rules. Hoping TKB doesn’t pull on the gold and green as it goes against the spirit of the rules.SDHoneymonster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 11:37 am With the news that Byron McGuigan is becoming the latest player to switch allegiances (Scotland to Namibia in this case - McGuigan was born in Walvis Bay (although if you want to delve deeper he was actually born there when it was still an exclave of South Africa, so hopefully he's got his papers in order!)) Lima Sapoaga going from NZ to Samoa is on the cards or I presume it still is. He's been talking about it for a while but not actually played for them yet that I'm aware of.

Re: International Switchers
Been some talk of J Saves doing the same.
From memory, Laumape wants to play for Tonga but won't be eligible until after the World Cup.
