Another start for Fisilau! That's great news.

And Seb Atkinson is looking better and better. Lots to iron out and improve on, but game time is always going to help.

I don’t know….that Exeter team doesn’t look half as scary these days and I quite fancy us to win down there.

Having said that we’ll probably lose with the last kick of the game or something else very ‘Gloucester’.

We are down to 4th and 5th choice hookers but Seb Blake is a great prospect and a big big man.

Whilst the international flyhalf is at fullback and a perfectly good 10/15 is on the bench?

Twelvetrees was outstanding at 10 last week against Bordeaux and both Carreras and Evans are coming back from injury.

Not sure the coaches fully trust Evans at 10 anymore either so this selection makes sense in terms of continuity from last week’s outstanding result.

Lots to like about both these 2 youngsters.

Exeter not the force they once were but they rarely lose at home.

And so it proved. Exe did just enough in a very low key, disappointing game that featured far too much (poor) kicking and not nearly enough adventure.

Quite! I think Exeter have some good youngsters coming through but apart from Hodge they all seem to be foreign. The English contingent - Skinner, Maunder etc. - are crap. I can't help thinking that the salary cap and other issues (finance, law changes etc.) are going to stifle English core professional development unless somebody with a brain in the RFU sees the light.

Awful game with very little to get excited about. Thought Atkinson Jr, Cam Jordan and Seb Blake (who nailed every line out on his first Orem start) were decent for us.

Exeter were dominant in the collisions and we fell off too many tackles.

The exe production line of young talent seems to have dried up over the last few years. A massive shame but I suppose these things go in cycles.

I was hugely impressed with SAtkinson - showed consistent quick hands on the gainline. Exeter kept thinking they were going to smash him with the ball and he kept getting it away, rapidly and accurately. There's definitely a very promising player there.

It has. Capstick was the last decent graduate from the academy and that was 3/4 years ago. Their u18's have done very little in their competition and representation at u20 level is limited to one player who was developed at Wasps.

It's like Leicester were in the early-2010s, right down to the older generation starting to retire/leave, and there being nothing to fall back on. Was very difficult to compile a competitive team based solely around buying in players under the cap, and it took a long time to wind the academy back up again when we belatedly realised we'd made terrible choices.

It’s so hard not to get carried away when hearing of any remotely promising EQ 12 after the last decade or so, but any comparison in style you could make for someone who hasn’t seen him play?

Hard one to do. A bit of the Antony Allen about him maybe, although much taller and with room on his frame to still fill out more.
