Wow that's a fall from grace for Johnny Hill.

Dingwall I'm slightly disappointed with because I think Seb Atkinson has more potential upside and would benefit from being in camp as neither are likely to actually play Vs Wales. No slight on Dingwall.

OHC paying the price for two quiet displays.

Will Stuart back is great news.

OHC has a knee injury actually, but it might be conveniently timed from the management's pov.

Like Tonya Harding you mean? That’s quite an accusation you’re making there.

Not the first time Manu has tried to torpedo his own career.

Fraser has done well in camps and was very good yesterday. What is Atkinson's upside- I've only seen the one game of him where he was solid so a genuine q

True. Shame cos he actually looks as lean as I've ever seen him.

I assume OHC's knee locked up whilst he was waiting for a pass.

He just seems one of those guys who punches well above his weight. Stats say he's 14 stone but defensively he's rock solid against much bigger opposition and ball in hand he has a knack for getting over the gain line. Nice hands as well, steps in to allow his 10 to play out the back. At 20 he looks ridiculously composed at Prem level. He'd be in as more of an apprentice but let's face it the midfield will be Lawrence and Slade with Farrell covering. Marchant might make the bench but whomever was called up Manu is unlikely to get a spot.

I'd heard similar about Dingwall, popular character by all accounts.

I'm sure Atkinson's time will come. He does look a tremendous prospect. I do think he's a possible WC bolter - if he at least maintains his current form.
Right now bringing in Dingwall makes sense as he has been in England squads.
Elsewhere its really tough on Ben Curry. Picked for a game, then ditched and now out of the squad.
Having Stuart, Ford, T curry and Lawes back in the squad hardly weakens it.

The burning question for me is, 'Why has SB brought Ford in?'

I don't mean why select him, I mean what has he brought him in to do? Is it going to be him or Smith on the bench? Is he going to get the 10 shirt? If he gets the 10 shirt will it be with Farrell at 12?

They are all the same old questions but what will SB do?

Is doesn’t seem remarkable in the slightest. Have you got so used to having an apprentice/prospect player in the squad instead of having your 3 best options? Have you got Stockholm syndrome from EJ?

I don’t see any need to rush Ford back in but it makes sense for him (and Lawes) to at least be familiar with what this new England group are trying to do in camp.

OHC has fluid on the knee and is seeing specialist tomorrow

Gutted for Ben Curry. Still a bit of dead wood in the 36 but starting to take shape

George Ford is probably our most complete flyhalf and one Borthwick trusts. Sanderson has also commented a few times that Ford has been working with the Sale backline to help the attack. If he could help with that a bit for England then that would be a potential benefit.

Makes sense to have our three best flyhalfs in the squad, Fin Smith also went off injured for Saints.
