Laurie Fisher's at a loose end, having been canned by Eddie. Wouldn't mind McKellar bringing him across.

be good to get a coach older than a few of the backs at least
I hear Methuselah's at a loose end...

I was more leaning towards an "oldest man ever to exist" (in a particular cultural reference) vibe, but that is an *obscure* reference.

I got it. I'm not sure he's got the required kicking game though.

So, these were deliberate contract extensions? Sorry, but with Bristol, you've gotta ask.

And Sale too - mix of extensions, new contracts

Simon McIntyre, Joe Jones, Tommy Taylor, Ewan Murphy, Rouban Birch, Sam Dugdale, Cal Ford, Arron Reed, Bevan Rodd, Raffi Quirke, Rob du Preez, Tom Roebuck, Joe Carpenter, Sam James, Tom Curtis, Tumy Onasanya, Ethan Caine, Ben Bamber, Connor Doherty and Joe Bedlow.

Really pleased with this news as these players form a large nucleus going forward along with others who have renewed or are already under contract.

That's big business from Sale - some really important academy products signing up for longer.

I'm impressed they've managed to get Sam Dugdale to commit to a longer contract. He's a good young openside who'd be higher up the pecking order at another club.

Bristol confirm the departure of Sam Bedlow for Sale: https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/news/ ... 24-season/

Makes sense as it's his junior club and his brother is there. Had plenty of chances but never really nailed the 12 shirt as his own.

Sort of makes sense if Manu is indeed off to France. Can probably cover Sam Hill, Sam Bedlow and Ma'asi White in the cap space left by Manu.

Brett Hodgson England's defence coach that never was has joined Eddie Jones's Australia set up (where Eddie has been looking a bit lonely) as defence coach.

Ruck suggesting that Callum Sheedy is back to Wales. Which, looking a the wages choas there seems unlikely...
Would open the door for Lloyd to play more & he'd offer a nice alternative to the McGinty control style.

Also, a rumor that Marmion is coming to Bristol. I guessed based off his previous contact with PL, again seems odd given the 9 position is pretty secure with Randell/Uren and Lennon as cover.

Jarrod Evans is off to Quins next season, he'll suit their style perfectly.

A quick Google suggests he doesn't. Great cover for Smith though. Good signing by Quins.

Andy Uren off to Treviso at the end of the season! Bit of shock as he only renewed last year. Apparently a really big offer and PL's agreed to let him go.

Explains the thinking if Marmion is to come in, decent back up to Randell & a mentor to Lenon.

I wonder if he's got an Italian grandparent or something. He's certainly got the potential to be a very useful player if first choice somewhere.

Uren is good enough to be a starter for quite a few Premiership teams IMO. Still, even if there’s no Italian qualification, I can think of worse things than playing rugby in Italy.

Thacker, Moriarty and Volavola all linked as well.

Painter can join Marcus Street in the not kicked on tightheads selection at Chiefs.
