Warburton or AWJ?
Who would you go for?
Would love to see AWJ have a go but Warburton hasn't done anything wrong.
AWJ is certainly in the follow me mode
Captain

I don't think it would make that much difference which one. You need a number of leaders out there.

Re: Captain
AWJ is less of wordy individual than Sam. He does his talking on the pitch.

Re: Captain
the thing is there are 3 distinct aspects to rugby captaincy. first there's leadership (which itself can take different forms), then there's the media/press conference side of things, then finally and perhaps most importantly in modern rugby there's the ability to manage the referee.
it's very rare that you find one person with ability in all three areas.

AWJ is more certain of his place. I'm less keen on Warburton at blindside and Tips is in good form. I can't see it changing though, to give Warburton his due, he has done little wrong and AWJ is still a senior player.

Re: Captain
I think AWJ as captain is probably inevitable. I think sam, whilst being an exceptionally talented player, is perhaps missing that little bit of malevolence needed in an international captain.
Sean Edwards has it, Martin Johnson had it, Warburton does not have it yet.
Imagine you have ballsed up on the pitch and cost the match......who would be the person you would to upset least ?
