100% this. He’s got so much potential he just has to play.Son of Mathonwy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 3:15 pm Another captain gone! And Lake surely nailed on to start.

It's pointless playing him until he gets his throwing on the money, that's his only weakness but it's a big problem potentially.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:38 pm100% this. Re: Whittled down training squad
IMO his throwing seems okay for the Ospreys but it was shaky at the end of the 6N.Numbers wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 9:49 amIt's pointless playing him until he gets his throwing on the money, that's his only weakness but it's a big problem potentially.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:38 pm100% this. Agreed SoM. He looked to have improved his throwing significantly before his injury, but he wasn’t great afterwards.Son of Mathonwy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:30 amIMO his throwing seems okay for the Ospreys but it was shaky at the end of the 6N.Numbers wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 9:49 amIt's pointless playing him until he gets his throwing on the money, that's his only weakness but it's a big problem potentially.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:38 pm

For what it’s worth I think that Bradley Roberts does the job very well, but he might be considering his options if Gatland doesn’t see him as one of the top 5 Welsh hookers (presumably he was behind Scott ‘lion king’ Baldwin as well)

Re: Whittled down training squad
Roberts is a very good player but others appear to be above him in the pecking order. Not sure what the issue is as he’s a dynamic type player who would do well off the bench at the very leastWallpaperman wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 2:51 pmAgreed SoM. Rumour has it that Taine Plumtree is going to be parachuted into the training squad: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/66077971
Hell of a thing if he makes the final squad and possibly a few ruffled feathers from the mates of who he replaces.

Plum tree sounds like a decent talent. Could be the blindside we’re looking for

That's all very well but where is he in the hardest men in Welsh rugby?Sandydragon wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 5:16 pmAccording to the Fail (I know) he can play lock, blindside or no8.Son of Mathonwy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 9:22 amIf he's a proper 6, get him in.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 9:59 pm Plum tree sounds like a decent talent.
