Fake Englishman, Dylan Hartley, says Wales will lose to Australia. If ever there were an added incentive to beat the Australians (not that we need one), it's this. If Dallaglio pipes up, the hand will be complete.

Yeah, well I'm thinking that our 'luck' (coz what else could it be?) will continue.

Perhaps it’s not luck. Perhaps it’s Gatland starting to mould the players into a vastly improved squad, albeit with the second choices somewhat behind the first XV.Son of Mathonwy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 9:59 am Yeah, well I'm thinking that our 'luck' (coz what else could it be?) will continue.
We did well against Fiji to scrape a win. All down to greatly improved defence and occasional smart play.
We put out a mostly second XV against a very lively Portugal who might surprise Australia when they play. Again a never say die attitude saw us take the BP at the death.
All this has built confidence into a well rested first XV which has few injury issues and is now set to take on a forecast much changed Aussie side.
Hopefully we will see the true Wales emerging on Sunday and force critics like Hartley to eat their words.

Agreed - I was being sarcastic about the 'lucky' comment - we needed plenty of skill to beat Fiji.normanski wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 10:28 amPerhaps it’s not luck. Re: Added incentive to win
I read that article and chuckled. I admit that if that last pass had been caught (or the more sensible short ball given) then we probably would have conceded a try that might have been converted. SO some luck there. But we got ourselves into a very good position to win that game in the first place and gave us the breathing room to weather the Fijian purple patch. It wasn’t a fluke win that’s for sure.
But this narrative that we didn’t deserve to win but managed to do so via a dodgy ref and luck is getting old.

In the pub this evening, I had a Leicester supporter come up to me and say "I never thought I'd say this, but I hope Wales win on Sunday".
England supporters supporting Wales- how hated must Eddie be?

We love Eddie. Look how he buggered up England in the end and how in short order he seems to be buggering up Australia.pompey-zebra wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 8:19 pmIn the pub this evening, I had a Leicester supporter come up to me and say "I never thought I'd say this, but I hope Wales win on Sunday".
