Travel risk

Post by Lizard »

So I’m heading off on a month’s travel soon. One of the countries on my agenda has an unresolved border dispute with a neighbour that is threatening to erupt into armed conflict again. Another one is the subject of credible news reporting about a possible coup.

No need to change my plans, right?

Aaaaaaaand it’s erupted into a full on shooting match. No change in the govt travel advisory yet. I perceive I shall shortly be spending some time reading travel insurance documentation.

It’s alright. The Russians have brokered a ceasefire. All good.
