Re: Glos v Quins
It's a very young Glaws midfield but the potential there is massive.
Suspect this could be a rather entertaining game.

Think Glos have an EQP count of 21 out of 23. Good on 'em.
Really excited to see how Seb Atkinson develops this season.

Quins is high, too. A very EQP game, this. Looking forward to it.fivepointer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 1:15 pm Think Glos have an EQP count of 21 out of 23. Good on 'em.

Also, I can't help but look at this Quins team and feel like this is the best squad we've had for a little while. Really looking forward to how we go this year, despite losing Marchant.

Finished 29-28 sounds like quite a ding dong.

I turned it off with 1 min to go when Quins intercepted to score.... subsequently pulled back for a high tackle and then Glos went on to win it. Entertaining match but so many mistakes on both sides - tackling optional at times. There was some good rugby too.

A large part of the second hand showcased for me why the Prem is so far behind at the moment. The rugby on offer was so poor.Gloskarlos wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 8:41 am I turned it off with 1 min to go when Quins intercepted to score.... subsequently pulled back for a high tackle and then Glos went on to win it. On the high tackle, I just don't get how players haven't adapted yet...it's been a while since this was introduced, and that Evans 'tackle' was just avoidable.

Re: Glos v Quins
In fairness, there's a *lot* of players missing. Marler, Walker, Lamb, Care, Smith, Esterhuizen from Quins, and Alemanno, Tuisue, Varney*, Harris*, May, Rees-Zammit, Carreras. While not all of those players are superstars, having 6/7 of your starting XV unavailable before you even look at injuries is going to be disruptive.Stom wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 9:14 amA large part of the second hand showcased for me why the Prem is so far behind at the moment. *Yes, I know they're technically back available, but with very little prep time and only Varney made the bench.

Hammond showed...why we should have fought to keep Tizard. I think he's fine, but he's not really up to pace. With Lewies perma-crocked, we kinda need someone to step up there.Puja wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 11:52 amIn fairness, there's a *lot* of players missing. As much potential as Will Joseph has, too, it's a pretty huge step down from Marchant, tbh.
