An England team that doesn’t go away and grinds out results.
What a lofty ambition. Fark me.

Absolutely self inflicted shyte. Backline predictably all over the place. A winning shambles.

He bottled every ruck too. Players from both sides just running in and lying down, off feet, on the top and sealing off, time after time. A totally useless ref and, sadly, par for the course in this tournament.
But never mind the ref - that was an epic bore fest between two clueless teams with no rugby intelligence between them.

Re: Team for Argentina
After a decent opening quarter we were rubbish. Well done to Dan for atoning for his missed tackle and getting the chargedown, but we did nothing of note for about the last 50 minutes. The backline at the end was a hideous joke.
Borthwick's substitutions are rivalling Jones for their ability to seriously wind me up.

Third is a better finish than I expected. It was pretty ugly but the team have at least found a backbone. Our new attack coach has a lot of work to do before the 6N.

Re: Team for Argentina
If Steaming Bathturd coached a debating team they wouldn't say anything just sit there shaking their head at what the opposition said. I got so bored watching that. I'm genuinely close to giving up on watching England. If we don't want to play rugby we shouldn't even turn up.

Another match with very little threat of scoring a try (apart from Earl's)..Hopefully Stuffy Barsteward's efforts can bring us an easier draw next time.

Yeugh. If the pumas had taken that it would have been fair. England basically stopped anything after that first half. A lot of players knackered and presumably sick of each other and the camp.
The stats for arundell that were shown here were entertaining at half, 0 on every measure except missed tackles, where he has 1. Must be like pulling teeth out there for him.

Re: Team for Argentina
That was awful rugby.
Arundell...the idea that our wings MUST stick out on their touchline is so god awful. I mean, what are we expecting them to do? The ball isn't going wide, so they're just meant to stand there waving their hands and pretending there's any chance they'll get the ball on the off chance the opposition decide to stick a man on them?
And our defence is just an utter shambles. Argentina waltzed through at will several times, and only their own ineptitude and George Ford stopped them from scoring more tries...
I mean, wow, the defence was awful.
Oh, and poor Smith just has no clue about body position and feet position for tackling as a FB, does he? All over the shop.
All in all, utter shambles.

Oh wait, and before I forget...one man stood out again for me.
A man who is in his prime, and by the next World Cup should have many caps and be well on his way to establishing himself as a great international player.
Just one problem...
Eddie fucked him about so much, he's off to bloody France. Damn it. Marchant would be so needed right now, he was very good again.

This is a massive general problem. How many promising players are going to look at England prospects and just go....meh.Stom wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:00 pm Oh wait, and before I forget...one man stood out again for me.

Re: Team for Argentina
I’ve had colonoscopies that were more entertaining than that!
Poor Henry! Absolutely shafted! The only time he gets the ball he makes a mistake, but then recovers it by taking the catch only for one of the fat twats to not retreat despite Berry shouting it at him five or six times.
I’m genuinely he’s happy going to a club where he’ll get to joue joue!

Re: Team for Argentina
This has to be a watershed moment, doesnt it? We cannot play with this lack of ambition and enterprise in the 6Ns and beyond. We have to raise our level and produce something that people will enjoy and want to watch.
I get the need for short term fixes given what was left but that now has to be left to one side and Borthwick has to produce a better team, playing in a way that will interest people, and will employ some of the talent we do have.
