Is that Tom Ellis the Bath flanker on the bench for Sale?

It is. Making a 6:2 bench for Sale. The Exe bench looks far better and should make an impact. Liking what i've seen of Fisilau and this lad Cairns at SH is a livewire.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 1:45 pm Is that Tom Ellis the Bath flanker on the bench for Sale?

Yeah Cairns seemed to emerge from nowhere last season, Chiefs have been struggling for either their import 9s or homegrown options to make a big impact and he seems to be delivering. Baxter has done a pretty good job with the rebuild, there's plenty of good young talents coming through.

Fisilau has made a great start to the season. He’s a proper workhorse but also making a solid impact on games.fivepointer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 4:29 pmIt is. Making a 6:2 bench for Sale. Not many of their Saffas make the Bok squad. Part of the genius of their signings. Available all year round.

Baxter is the best club manager(DoR as opposed to head coach) around. His ability to judge potential is pretty useful. Undoing an era and starting afresh is not easy, especially with financial restrictions.fivepointer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 5:01 pm Wow, terrific result for Exe. Didnt see that score coming. He was also a pretty good coach, which helps.Oakboy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 8:36 amBaxter is the best club manager(DoR as opposed to head coach) around. Re: Exeter vs Sale - Sat
Having seen the highlights that's going to be a miserable review for Sale. Looks like they got absolutely battered in the physical exchanges. Penalty try from a scrum, mauled over their line twice.

Impressive from Exe. That scrum for the penalty try was quite a statement. Ross McMillan looks to be a very good acquisition to the coaching team.
