Some impact off the bench for Sarries, Quins have got a fair bit themselves.

I'm surprised Farrell kept his cool there. Sir was 100% in the way to the point Farrell ran into him ball in hand.

Marcus Smith hasn't brought his kicking boots.

How’s Hartley getting on? He’s another of the great hopes for 12. Though a long way away for now I’d guess

It's so hard to admire Sarries but they are certainly putting one over Quins. So I'll just carry on disliking them

That fairly comprehensive really. Outplayed them in pretty much every department, and didn’t really look like they found it very hard.

Itoje is looking near his best IMO

He played well. Scored a strong try. Sarries were always on the front foot which helped him obviously.

Marcus Smith had a rare off weekend. Bad weekend for it to come with Borthwick watching on and up against Farrell, he made Farrell look a lot better than he was.

Typical that they turn it on for Quins really. Looked second by a long way.

Playing out of position should buy him some leeway with SB

Might reinforce Borthwick's belief that he can be a useful fullback.

On the day, Farrell outplayed Smith in a club game. The question, then, is how to measure the relative performances in terms of the international game, taking into account the relative efforts of the other 28 players. Or, do you look at face value and conclude that Farrell is England's best FH? Let's face it, that is what successive head-coaches have done.

Farrell, day-to-day may indeed be our best FH but, as with others as well, he has not been part of England being a top side. The team's ceiling, with him in it, will not lift above the best of what we have already seen. That remains the crunch. It is why there has to be a re-set.

Just caught up with the game. Quins will be bitterly disappointed in that effort. They really did very little with the ball they had and spent far too much time trying to play in the middle third of the pitch. Saracens won at a canter. Impressed with the discipline and decision making in their defence particularly.
Farrell didnt do much tbh. Smith tried to get things going but couldnt stamp any authority on proceedings.
