We did owe you for the couple you had against us. Been a good scrum battle in the second half.

Volavola's kicking from hand lacks range compared to Shillcock. Causing problems.

What was I saying. Good finish by Pepper under that pressure.

Tigers really haven't turned up this half. Bath going to have a TBP at this rate.

Bath's support runners through the middle are genius. They don't obstruct a tackler but at the same time they clearly force the defender to take a wider route to the runner. It's very intelligent.

TFFT - 3 points are more important than Finn's ego

I mean that typifies our half. Great kick return by Steward, followed by a pass to nobody and then Brown knocks on under minimal pressure. Absolute shite. Russell's inability to kick his goals the only reason Bath haven't run away with this, he must have 10 points out there.

About time, a passable passage of play and we scored. First time since the first half.

Then Volavola displays his kicking capabilities again...

Well that was a baffling end to the game? Russell lost his head?

I make it a try for JVP, 2 missed conversions (not easy) and a missed penalty that should have landed (or been given to Spencer already)

What happened? Couldn’t see this one.
It’s been notable while Russell’s goalkicking has been great for Scotland for a while now it seems to be all over the place in the prem.

Guy Pepper's some player. Bath have a real good 'un on their hands.

As Bath had already scored from a set play move I was bracing for another set play from that scrum. Couldn't believe it when Russell just kicked it out. I'd have bet a lot of money on him going for the TBP.

Bath played 70-odd minutes on a warning, but penalty offences never became yellow cards.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 4:57 pm What happened? Couldn’t see this one.

When Russell missed touch twice in a row, and Leicester scored a try, the ref shouldn't have played advantage, but gone back for a harsh-but-fair yellow instead....
Presumably Bath will be starting next weekend already on a warning for repeat infringement on the line.
Big things were OHC dropping the ball when trying to place it one handed.
Russell good with the hands but shite with the boot (and too late in giving the tee to Spencer).
Bath's 6:2 split biting them in the arse yet again - ending up with no wingers (JC concussed, Muir knee).
Better team on the day won, but nothing much in it, in play or on the scoreboard.
Pepper, Butt and Lawrence the stand outs for Bath.
Leicester SHs had a really good 80 minutes between them, Perise a constant threat.

Re: Tigers Vs Bath - Sunday
First half was hard fought, OHC dropped the ball over the line and both sides scored nice tries. Second half Tigers didn't turn up and Bath were generous guests and didn't take full advantage. Nice Bath set play move just after half time the pick, Russell kicked poorly and then opted to not have a go with scrum possession in Tigers 22 with the clock in the red.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 4:57 pm What happened? Scrum battle was a good watch in the second half, seesawed from one side to the other.

Re: Tigers Vs Bath - Sunday
Now that would have been foolish.
5 points up, away from home, clock in the red, no wingers and an OSF who's only the pitch as a technicality... There's only one call to make, and it's not risking 3 points in the league

Bath are good. They could be better as well if they converted those early chances. Loads of depth in the squad.

Grubber it into the blindside corner for a chase? Chances are it goes out of is dotted down which is game over. Small chance it gets scored and then it's TBP time. No chance Tigers take a grubber from their own line under pressure and go the length. There were options and Russell is the type of magician to pull it off.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 5:10 pmNow that would have been foolish.

Re: Tigers Vs Bath - Sunday
Is there still some guideline/law that only allows ref/TMO to go back a certain nimber of phases? If so, does playing under advantage count? There was an instance where they queried more than one incident but failed to go back to a blatant high tackle.
