Marcus Smith at fullback, that's an interesting move. Probably down to the number of injuries to back three players but even so be interesting to see him Vs Furbank.

Shame Augustus has picked up an injury, he was excellent last week - though a good opportunity for Pollock to have a run about against tired legs. He looks to have added some timber in pre season.

He’s put in a decent amount of kilos over last season. I met him at the World Cup warm up game in Cov and he looked a lot bigger than previously. Said he’s focussed on adding bulk to add some robustness but also married that with speed and agility training. Got his head screwed on that lad!

I'm sat bang in line with that last Quins try and it was so forward. How that was not reviewed is a mystery

TMO said it wasn't obviously forwards out the hands so no detailed review. Seemed an odd one not to review in detail.

Pollock is a huge talent, and his attitude has improved...and only 19.

Great game.
Iyogun done a lot of effective carrying tonight. Freeman just a Rolls-Royce. Great to see Kenningham back and firing. Lamositele the size of a small country and about the same scrummaging ability. First game I’ve ever noticed Munga effect proceedings. Pearson bloody good. Davidson needs subtitles and I went to Newcastle Uni.

Munga had a strong game last week too - hopefully it continues and he is actually fulfilling his promise.

Early doors, but this is going to be another heavily competitive season if clubs are getting within 4 and grabbing both points in away games regularly

Very entertaining. The pace was unrelenting. The fitness now in the elite game is really quite something.

Thought a lot of players showed up well. The 2 young loose heads were first class, Munga did have an effective game, Kenningham likewise and both Smith's had some classy moments.

And i'm pleased to see that i wasnt alone in struggling to understand Davison!

Baxter put in some big shots with great technique. Really good aspect of his game that. Seemed to be enjoying scrummaging against Davison as well.

Will Evans doing Will Evans things. I'd still like to see more of him in an attacking sense, I suspect that's the difference between him getting capped and not.
