ETA. A further read into it suggests it's not as bad as I thought. Telegraph says that Kurdi "received several approaches in the summer" and that A source said: “Semore wants to be responsible in finding the next owner. It could take 18 months.” Another source suggested that Kurdi values the club at around £18 million but Newcastle would not verify this figure when approached for comment.
All very speculative, but it sounds like he's interested in cashing out, rather than letting the club crash out and gain him nothing.
