Big hit from Dingwall after Italy tap and go from the scrum. That's more like it.

Borthwick should be sacked if he doesn’t take him off.

Never thought I'd be pleased that we selected a full back row on the bench

Earl can come back on for Hill even though he was replaced by CCS?

Whatever the HC has done with his changes has removed momentum.

It's been attritional I suspect Borthwick is holding off on Hill and JvP coming on just in case we lose anybody else.

Lawrence, Willis and TCurry all injured.

Bring back on Ted Hill FFS! Seeing Earl back at 8 is painful :)

I know we’ve score lots of points but our attack is utter gash! We are so readable it’s ridiculous! And individual decision. Making is terrible!

I guess we should have put a few more backrows on the bench just in case.

Still not sure how CCS is still on the pitch without technically replacing Hill.

Yep the attacking structure is piss poor. I'm happy to persevere with Borthwick but Wigglesworth I do wish we'd replace or at least remove from the attack position.

Come on Italy! Get that bonus point if you can.

England have decided it's about staying in one piece, rackon.

Ref. getting @rsey with Eng. players...
Gone asleep again, something top teams are good at not doing.

I’ve seen tortoise’s breach the gainline better than Earl:) Brilliant in open play, Jack Jones at punching holes in any sort of defensive wall hence not a natural test no.8 imo. He’s a latter day version of Pierre Spies or Tom Croft in the context of a talented and athletic player being asked to play in too tight a position for their natural skillset.

At least this looks like a genuine blood replacement.

Not sure why earl to centre over Hill though. You'd think fresh legs, more pace and more time in the backs would be more useful

I'd have picked Stuart as MoM but Chessum is OK.

Given Hill's tackle competition stats probably not.

Job done. Scored quite a few tries, up to second in the table. Just need the Scots to do us a favour and for us to hammer the Welsh.

I really don’t think we’re going to hammer the Welsh, don’t say I didn’t warn anybody ….

Earl-y finish, con. missed.
FT 47 - 24.
Opportunity lost to develop a few things with Lawrence injury - hopefully not a season ender/ Lions kybosh for the lad.
Smith / Dingwall looked steady.

Joe needs to go too, our defence is shocking

Losing Lawrence upset our balance quite a bit. Dingwall and Daly wasn't a particularly balanced midfield and Italy's centres are quality. Not helped by the usual CCS misread.

Joe's not covering himself in glory but he's still fairly new in post so I'd give him a little more time.
