Hows this for a stat. The u20s pack is heavier than any lack named by GT for the full team.

Lost to Austalia. 7 points up with 15 mins to go and then lost by 10. Attack looks really good actually, but lineout was a big issue and defence is weak.

Not helped by losing Logan after 20 mins and both second rows around half time.

lineout terrible again, but I think we lost because of the injuries. Not that the subs were bad or anything, just we ended with a hooker at blindside, and having to swap out Logan and the locks early meant the subs also tired sooner than the Aussie ones. In normal conditions you wouldn't expect that, but in 36 degrees...................

very good win against the Irish. Obviously their academies are not working

Well up but poor discipline (mainly Duncan who was otherwise very good) and some unreal reffing let Ireland abck into it and take the lead late on, until the last seconds.

Great result! Some very good tries early and could have had more. Then showed some guts from 4 points down with a minute to go.

Fergus Watson looks ready for some pro-time, and Urwin continues to improve. Hector Patterson too.

If I was Irish I might be spewing a bit about the final minute. One of those right outcome but iffy process ones. Logan takes the ball up to close to the Ireland try. Ball comes loose, ref wrongly gives a knock on and scrum to Ireland, long injury break in which the ref checks and sees that it came off and Irish foot so reverses the scrum, Scotland then score.

if it comes off an Irish foot................was personally convinced an Irish hand stripped it back and was screaming that at the TV before the ref made any call

Lost to Georgia. Comfortable scoreline but were a bit unlucky at times. Two disallowed tries just after half time killed their chances a bit. Lots of dropped balls, but hard to judge in the humidity.

Urwin continues to improve and the backrow were good. Front five met their match in the scrum, but then worked it out and had the better of the decisions from about 20 mins in.

All round, a promising group. Definitely 9 or 10 of them that you could imagine going on to strong pro careers, though each of them need a bit of luck.

Front five largely around for next year, but otherwise will need to build a new team.

Could and maybe should have won.

Douglas and Logan were very good. Douglas is ready for a big push. He should start ad Edinburghs 1st choice 7.
