Lots of interesting English selections to look at there. Sela starting, Tuipulotu on the bench, Arundell straight back into action for Bath, with CCS at lock, Kerr at 12.

Also, Ojomoh getting a start at 10 is fun. I'm assuming Carreras is carrying an injury?

Sela starting against Baxter is the one for me. Plenty of other good match ups. Cant see Ojomoh kicking much and he does have plenty of firepower at his disposal outside.

Carreras is with the Pumas. Russell resting post Lions. Donoghue I presume injured and Linegar not trusted.

Ojomoh at 10? Can EP or anyone else weigh in on this because that seems mad to me.

Tuipulotu ahead of Frost is interesting, as is Sela ahead of Griffin.
Stuart and Russell are resting post-Lions, Du Toit and Carreras playing in the SH, Donoghue is having "exploratory surgery" on a knee injury and Dam Harris still long-term injured from last season (and the season before that - both ankle, I think the same one).
So yeah, that left Ojomoh vs DeGlanville for the starting shirt (both had a go at 10 against Worcester last weekend), and an outside chance for Linegar.
Muir injured, so Arundell was the obvious choice at wing (and possibly forced the decision on Ojomoh vs TdG).

I'd have been happier with JL on the bench than Harris though - but he may simply not be up to the physicality of adult rugby yet - he's still 18, after all. I just feel that 4 centres is more than needed in a match-day 23

Beyond the above, Barbeary's got a back injury, Green is recovering from concussion, Coetzee and the new scrum half both picked up injuries in re-season.

Bath's issues at tighthead and 10 make it a bit more open thaj expected but Quins team does look very Green... the Quins bench bar Turner looks very average, there's a lot of pressure on that starting pack to really hit form straight out the gate.

Anyone who wasn't expecting Stuart and Russell to get their post-lions rest; or DuToit & Carreras to be busy in the Southern Hemisphere... should have been.
Granted, the Dooghue injury is a right royal bugger

Green is a...nice way of describing it.

Honestly, it feels like one of the most average looking Quins teams we've put out for a while.

We're woefully short at lock (somethings never change), and how Jarrod Evans still gets a gig, I don't know.

Didn't see two tries for Will Evans inside 10 mins.

Ollie Lawrence looks very rusty.

Oh gods, I've just realised... In a few weeks, TNT will have Russell AND Arundell AND Du Toit AND Carerras to felate.

Simultaneously...

It's going to be NSFW when Doyle gets to present that lot

Thought Sean Kerr showed up well for Quins. Be interesting to see what they do with him and Waghorn.

Bath just went brutal and overpowered Quins when they needed to. Sela had a very decent shift. Very good in the loose and held up well against Baxter.

Arundell did what was asked of him. Taking Green on the outside shows just how rapid he is! Can’t ask for much more and hopefully starts to build his confidence.

The snap of the wrist and fingers he put on it to get the distance but without losing speed was just beautiful! If it was Cips everyone would be jizzing about it!

Also the timing and placement on his pass for the Arundell chip & collect deserves a mention.

As you say, a Cips or Russell making those passes and TNT would have been besides themselves.

Showing that vision and execution would have done his England chances no harm whatsoever (how has Slade still got a central contract?)
Of course, he'll be up against George Ford next week - so might be back down to earth with a bump

Ojomoh's passing was exceptionally good. He's got great hands. Not sure he's really suited to 10 but as a secondary playmaker being able to whip those passes into space really adds to an attack.

Just watched it and Ojomoh was very good in bursts.
Arundell looked like his France detour never happened. He’s not gonna make Bath weaker.

Thought Ojomoh looked very good. He is a player who ticks a lot of boxes.

Uncontested scrums when you have a full complement of front row subs should never be allowed in the pro game. A prop should easily be able to cope with playing hooker. its not as if they actually have to strike for the ball in the scrum.

Good point, well made. That was such a bizarre outcome. But Dickson is gonna Dickson.
