15. Blair Murray 5
A mixed bag.
Murray lost the aerial battle which hurt his side but he got better as the game wore on.
Always a threat with ball in hand and deserved a late consolation try.
14. Tom Rogers 5
Didn't get as much joy in the air as he would have liked.
Looked dangerous with ball in hand, making one incisive break to set up a try for Tomos Williams.
Found it difficult to contain livewire Pumas wing Mateo Carreras and missed a tackle on Pablo Matera in the lead up to a try on the stroke of half-time.
13. Max Llewellyn 5
Defended well and stood up to Argentina's physical threat in midfield.
Made some excellent defensive reads and offered himself as a carrier, while his distribution was good. Sign up to Inside Welsh rugby on Substack to get exclusive news stories and insight from behind the scenes in Welsh rugby.
12. Ben Thomas 4
Not his finest game.
The Cardiff playmaker got sent to the sin bin for kicking out at Argentina superstar Pablo Matera towards the end of the first half.
Showed some nice touches at times but was far too loose and it was his pass to Tomos Williams which resulted in an interception try for Gerónimo Prisciantelli.
11. Josh Adams 5
Found it difficult to cope with the pace and power of the Pumas' back three.
There were a couple of aimless kicks on his part and he doesn't offer the attacking threat he once did at this level.
10. Dan Edwards 6
He's not the finished article by any means but the 22-year-old showed some promising signs.
His kicking out of hand wasn't bad, while his distribution was generally good.
One very good 60-metre break in the second half nearly resulted in a try.
9. Tomos Williams 7
The livewire scrum-half put in an excellent individual performance.
Williams was a constant threat with ball in hand and sparked his side into life with an incisive break while he also claimed Wales' first try.
The 30-year-old is one of Wales' only genuine Test-match players.
8. Aaron Wainwright 6
One of Wales' better players.
Wainwright made 16 tackles and 12 carries, while he looked effective in the wide channels. Join WalesOnline Rugby's WhatsApp Channel here to get the breaking news sent straight to your phone for free
But the Pumas ultimately had too much power.
7. Jac Morgan 8
Wales' best player.
Morgan was head and shoulders above everyone else finishing the game as the top carrier with 14, while he made 11 tackles.
There was also two turnovers and a try.
6. Alex Mann 5
Wales' top tackler with 17 and gave everything to the cause.
Mann made some headway in the wide channels and looked good with ball in hand.
5. Adam Beard 5
Beard got through a lot of unseen work in the tight and helped improve Wales' lineout in the second half.
Put in 15 tackles and added some physicality to Wales' front five.
4. Dafydd Jenkins 5
The Exeter Chiefs lock got through a mountain of work, putting in 16 tackles and fronted up well to a powerful Pumas front five.
Jenkins' work rate can never be questioned and the 22-year-old also offered himself as a carrier.
3. Keiron Assiratti 5
Held his own in the scrum and put in a big defensive shift with 14 tackles.
Offered himself as a carrier and showcased his full skillset with some nice tip on passes from the point of contact.
2. Dewi Lake 5
Carried well and claimed a try in the first half but failed to find his jumper in the lineout on too many occasions in the first period.
But put in a huge defensive shift with 15 tackles and made 13 carries. Get the latest breaking Welsh rugby news stories sent straight to your inbox with our FREE daily newsletter. Sign up here.
1. Rhys Carré 5
Did not make as much of an impact as many people would have hoped.
Made five carries and spilled the ball forward over the Argentina try line in the first half while he did not get the upper hand in the scrum.
Replacements
16. Liam Belcher 5
Found his man at the lineout and was busy around the park.
17. Nicky Smith 5
Made a decent impact.
Carried well and won an excellent turnover at the breakdown.
18. Archie Griffin 5
Struggled at scrum time but busy around the park.
19. Freddie Thomas 5
Looked good with ball in hand during his 15 minutes on the field.
20. Olly Cracknell 5
Finally made a long-awaited Test debut and added some physicality to the Wales pack.
21. Kieran Hardy N/A
Not on the field long enough.
22. Jarrod Evans 6
The Harlequins playmaker made a positive impact with ball in hand and was always a threat.
23. Louis Rees-Zammit 6
Got on the outside of the Argentina defence on a couple of occasions and was unlucky not to claim a try but the ball didn't bounce his way.

Re: Wales Online Ratings
Perhaps but probably not too inaccurate if 5 is the bang average starting position. Usually the Fail get stuck on 7

Can we drop Beard a couple of points for injuring Morgan?
