Why would he choose Jonathan Humphreys?

I've got to say I was as unimpressed with Earls' behaviour as anyone, and I think he is a bit of a twat, but I totally get that it was a heated encounter and he seems to have apologised. Good on him.

I think a red card was quite a big (deserved) punishment and it certainly wasn't as bad as Tomuua's in terms of the sanction it should have got.

Really not sure what Taylor has done with Scotland to justify being kept on. Scotland's defence has been consistently poor under him. Not too sure about MacFarlane being promoted either. I think it would have been a good idea to bring in someone new to work with Toony.

What is happening to Kenny Murray?

JOH could be a good fit for Glasgow and has coached with Rennie before. Not sure how much of Scotlands attacking patterns he was responsible for in the 6N but the game plan was clear.

I remember a time Scotland were just 'actually kind of okay at defending, at least in comparison to their complete inability to attack'.

There does seem to have been a massive regression in defence in tandem with a gradual development of (what could be a pretty good) an attacking game. Is it coincidence or is just that we've got a mong in charge of defence at the same time as we finally develop a bunch of threatening attacking players?

Bear in mind I seem incapable of keeping track of who the backroom staff are. I might be chatting balls, but it seems like we were better defenders with a pile of shite team 10 years ago.

Haven't the foggiest. However iirc Humphries is OOC end of season, there's no need to find a space to save severance pay. Secondly Rennie won't have been short on offers up north, and we sure as shit ain't going to be the best paying option. Why would he join a team where he'd be (relativity) underpaid and have undesirable staff forced upon him?

Now that has actually never happened ... I'm surprised! Must be because we are always facing a B/C team.
It's been a very long time since we have we have played them Down Under. Would really like to see what a full, injury-free Scotland
do against the top all Blacks team (although I do not expect much).

Fair call. Think I'm mashing g up the time they ended it early with the micker getting pumped in enzed.

It looks a lot better than what I expected too. During this time, we have only played half the amount of games France has played against NZ.

Superb from Hogg. Any of those 4 lads could have scored it. Treviso are gash.

Wow... that is actually shocking. He was under no pressure and dived about a metre too early. Still a brilliant kick though.

Ha. I thought that looked a bit suspect. Great skill to get there but what a waste.

All to easy though. Time to seriously think about kicking Zebre and Treviso out or limiting the Italians to a single team.

Complete waste of really, really valuable possession from Finn. A lot can change in the remaining 65 mins... no point doing that unless you've got an advantage.
