Tram Crash
Seems some who-ha over in America is keeping this off the front pages. I'm surprised at the casualty toll considering how relatively innocuous the crash appears to be (as far as a tram derailment can be innocuous).

Are passengers seated in trams? I'm assuming no restraints, but standing passengers rarely fare well in crashes.bruce wrote:Seems some who-ha over in America is keeping this off the front pages. A mixture of both by the looks of it. 70 seats and up to an 138 standing (est).Sandydragon wrote:Are passengers seated in trams? Happened at 0600hrs though, maybe I'm just a lazy so and so, but I wouldn't have thought it would be overly full at that time. Although it did have at least 58 passengers on board.

Re: Tram Crash
If it had been moving at the correct speed the injuries would have been much less. Moot point though, since it presumably wouldn't have toppled at all if it hadn't been going well in excess of the speed limit.bruce wrote:A mixture of both by the looks of it. 70 seats and up to an 138 standing (est).Sandydragon wrote:Are passengers seated in trams?
