changes for next game
I don't think we'll see Hardie so if Strauss is fit, he goes nr 8 and Bradbury joins the bench. I'm not a great fan of Wilson. Sorry. Other than that, hopefully Seymour will be available, and I'd like to see Hoyland starting with Maitland benching.

Off the top of my head Bradbury in starting XV. Injuries should allow for that.
Seymour or Hoyland to wing for Visser. Not against swapping both wings.
Will try and watch again.

Yeah I'd keep them to a minimum apart from obviously Seymour and I'd agree on Strauss. I think I missed what Maitland did so wrong although I'd like to see Hoyland get a game at some point

Visser absolutely must be dropped. This cannot continue. Is Dicko or Sutherland due back?

RG needs to go through the 3rd part of the HIA. Hardie has concussion and injuries to his knee and ankle. Wilson had a laceration on his ankle that required hospital treatment but has rejoined the squad. CDP had been called in to the squad.

Is Bradbury already in the squad? Who's the other lock?
4. Jonny 5. TTRI / Gilchrist 6. Bradbury 7. Watson 8. Barclay
18. Toolis 19. CDP
Is that possible? Is it a bad idea to throw Bradbury in now?

Hopefully Gray snr makes it. Was one of his better games yesterday and Gilchrist not really at the races this season.

The reports don't seem too bad on Hardie's leg considering how he went off. Maybe they just don't have scan results etc so are concentrating on the head for now

How did people think Watson went? I thought he started strongly but the auspices seemed to get the hang of his carrying a bit. Got caught static a bit. Would definitely pick him next week anyway but he might have to learn what he caneeds and can't get away with at international level

Re: changes for next game
He seemed to get on the end of a lot of crap ball, but I see what you mean. Hard to say on first viewing if that was down to poor positioning from him, speculative passes, over-running then ending up standing still etc. There were definitely a couple where he was out wide and flung the ball with several defenders waiting, I thought he did well with those to be honest. He clearly likes to take the ball on the move with some real aggression and I hope to god we dont coach that out of him. Laidlaw did his best to stymie ever single forward run towards the end but he, along with Reid, Barclay and Gray particularly, helped get it going forward.
That sounds like more of a glowing review than I intended. He/we certainly need to work harder on getting runners in the right positions in general.

For what was effectively his debut I thought he did OK. Seemed to get through a lot of work on both sides of the ball.
Plenty room for improvement but he was against two of the best 7s in the game.

I'd love to see Bradbury in. He's been keeping CDP out on merit and that should be rewarded.
Reid for Dell still feels vaguely sensible but I'm less worried about the pair of them than I was.

Change for the next game? How about a W...
We still cant beat better ranked teams. France is the only exception in the last couple of years.

That's the big one isn't it. We still have this uncanny knack to play just a little bit worse than the opposition, or at least manage to let them win, whether that's the All Blacks or Italy.ARM wrote:Change for the next game? How about a W...
