POC RIP

Post by Bob »

He is dead isn't he? Must be judging by all the soppy obituaries I read today

Great player and Ireland will not have a forward like him for a generation nor a back like BOD

I imagine he would have been a nightmare to play against, hair or no hair.

One of the best ever 2nd Rows,,,, In terms of importance to the Irish team,,,,the best! I was fortunate to play with the man I consider the best,,,,,Brian Thomas,,,, POC, was a similar type of player!

Luke Fitz has had to retire. Such a pity.

cursed with ill luck for picking up injuries at the wrong time, in his pomp he was a lovely player to watch

good luck to him in the future

A real shame on Fitzy, the talent was there and it just never amount to what might have been hoped of him, injuries perhaps to the fore of his problems.

POC of course remains a giant of the game, what a career, what a player.

28! I can't believe he's still so young. Such a shame he has to retire. A good career prevented from being a great one by injury.

Some seriously good players in that Ireland team too!
