Not enormously relevant anymore and I guess they've got a few injuries but Kelly Brown seems to have made more appearances in the last few week than the last couple of seasons overall. I still enjoy seeing his stupid eyebrows.

Rory Hutchison got 40 mins in the cup today. They got battered but if he forces his way into the team this season or next that would be great.

TTRI played 6 today in the Toulouse spanking of Zebre. Well, according to the BBC which doesn't mean a lot.

What? T Gray is referring to Tala Gray, the aussie loose forward. Richie starts with R not T.

More to the point there is absolutely no way he'd be played in the back row unless there was an injury crisis. He'd be miles off the pace.

Ryan Grant Has passed the medical examinations for Brives for a temporary contract (Injury - cover) and more if the experience is positive.

Yeah, he's had a very strange career. Plenty of players have highs and lows but he went from being a deserved (though) belated Lions tourist to barely playing a game in a very short time

The law changes that helped Dickinson really hindered Grant, id love to see a change in scenario change things for him and get him back to his best

It's strange that he couldnt adapt better than he could. After all, Dickinson was still an international under both sets of laws

Are you referring to the scrum because that's definitely not it. He just wasn't the same player around the park in general.

He hit an 18 month purple patch. That may just have been a short peak before regressing to his level.

After this long it looks like that was probably it. It's just hard as an outsider to figure out what changes so drastically in his physical or mental approach. I'm not sure people would look at him today and believe that he was a very worthy lions tourist.

Went to Quins v Glos yesterday.

Visser was very lively, made a few good breaks and more importantly actually put his shoulder in to a couple of tackles. Best I've seen him play in ages though he didn't score and then came off at about 60, so maybe I missed something.

Scott seemed to do the right thing with the ball when he got it, but that wasn't a lot. Got beaten by a very good run for Marchant's try. Not exactly free-flowing stuff from Gloucester though.

Greig was Greig. Did do well in rallying his forwards to get a couple of crucial scores but a few poor passes amongst it.

Jackson with a fairly typical Jackson performance. Missed an early kick or two but came back with some crucial ones and a few nice passes on the gainline. Still just a bit too unpredictable, even in comparison to Russell. A highlight was dummying the clearance, making the break, absolutely fluffing his chip ahead which bounced off a Gloucester player's face and he regathered it.

6/7 all round really. Each had quite a good half in a fairly poor game.

Awesome. Welsh isn't doing bad at all and Newcastle on the whole are doing a very good job this season with a limited squad. Just mental that we ignored him for the AIs.

Needs to be in the 6N squad even if Nel is fit.
