Patchell made nothing happen at OH but probably could if he accelerated onto the pass. So few OHs do so nowadays; in fact the failure of so many attacks is down to static receivers. Look no further than Wales forwards standing still waiting for the ball to be recycled.....slowly; fast ball onto running receivers may make a difference.

absolutely this - maybe players actually running onto the ball increases the risk of them dropping it so is too risky for the likes of Gatland

Patchell is a very exciting & dangerous runner in the wider channels though, absolutely - he will be a big miss for us next season
