WTF was that SHC?

There wasn't even an advantage being played...

Bradbury also off injured. Didn't look too bad but if its a dead leg its hard to see him featuring for England.

I wonder if Edinburgh might have the option to sign Appiah permanently? He certainly gives a lot more than some blokes who have been wearing the jersey for years.

Embarrassing. Can they not get Cockerill early? Nobody will turn up to Myreside at this rate.

Both pro teams in awful nick at the moment. Injuries compounding lack of strength in depth.

I can't for the life of me remember who it was but we really did take the piss with one of the lads before the RWC. Was it Dunbar?
Dunbar and his World Record Recovery from ACL repair...?

The conditions for the last two games have been absolutely dire, there's no two ways about it, but I think there's maybe the hint of a good side trying to peek out. First half against Leinster they were really tough, yes they got pumped in the second half, but at the half they were in that game. Had Cardiff beat and let them off, and really should've about tied this game without the lack of PT, which I don't understand.

The pack, shorn of most of it's first and second choice front row is really starting to look good, Toolis is having a great run, I think Bradbury is a hell of a player, and shit even Jamie Ritchie is a good 7- a spot we're really spoiled for choice. I think it's the building block of a good side, but we're so damned young, and lord me miss a Matt Scott type in mid-field. I can say a lot for Tovey and Weir as kickers, but they're not running fly halves, and this team wants to play positive rugby.

It's very young, but I think with a couple of additions, some better weather, we just might could turn things around.

Does the lack of an announcement re Bradbury & Dickinson suggest its nothing serious?

Vernon's injury for Glasgow has already been put through the official channels.

I really wondered about that, but given the heap he went off in, you can't think things look good for Dicko.

I hope Bradbury is fit because I really think he should have a shot at the Scotland team vs Italy

Possibly but I feel for CdP. Not a game you want as your debut.

I'm just worried that we've finally signed a game breaker in the centres when the Scottish knee fairy strikes again.

If it's a long term lay off for Dickinson then he may be seriously considering retirement. I've just had a look on Edinburgh's twitter feed - silence.

No, very much not. I thought Barclay and Waston both played well, it was hard to see what Wilson was doing, but not in a bad way, just the angles were hard to see, but I think we need a bit more oomph in the back row size wise

They played well in certain ways but I think the backrow is a big part of what went wrong. We had slow ball and they had very quick ball plus a ton of penalties. I dont really like how it was reffed but it was (relatively) consistent and we didnt deal with it at all

Whispers that Nel has resigned from Mark Palmer of the Times. Interestingly it is rumoured to be a massive commitment from the SRU - 4 years. That would take Nel to 35 at the end of the deal and he would be committing himself for the rest of his career.

It would seem odd to be paying him £300k+ kpa for 4 years but the SRU may have seen it as a way to compete with the 3 year 400k deals he was allegedly offered elsewhere.

Hopefully he is well looked after. Solomons & Hodge have been incredibly irresponsible with the welfare of him & Dickinson IMO. Although I appreciate that may be because of SRU pressure.

While this applies to Glasgow as well I would hope that Cockerill & team are looking very closely at the potential fallout of this Stade & Racing merger. A lot of good players will be without a club.

I have been thinking about this, they have some experienced 9's that could be useful. Cockerill was assistant coach at Tigers when Dupuy was there. Nothing flash, but steady and could provide guidance to SHC for a season or two.

There must be a big bastard of a second row available too to replace Gilchrist for the right money.

The rest of the TOP 14 are looking at this situation with their pockets full of money...

Would a 33 yo Dupuy command that much? Is there not a salary cap now or is all that pretty much unenforceable?
