It's been rumored for the last year or so.
His last chance for a big contract so I think it's a done deal.

I don't think the Ospreys could complain if he did move ...and he won't get that sort of financial nest egg in Wales.
If he was going ....maybe a few years on the sunny French coast may be his preference :D :D

Its the right time of his career for such a move and after a Lions tour where he impressed a lot of people, I don't blame him for looking to cash in. Its a risk for him in terms of his Welsh place, but there is no guarantee that he will be in pole position for the 10 shirt come the next RWC.

I regard him as being a superb servant for the Ospreys thus far and I don't think any fair minded supporter would object too much to him leaving.

Aye, well best of luck to him.

I'd be more concerned over potentially losing Webb than Biggar moving on if I were an ospreys supporter. Now seems the right time for Davies to be the main fly half and have a run in that position. But behind Webb the options look a bit unimpressive.

Had to happen sooner or later with Sam pushing him hard. Why Northampton though, they've just had their shit shoved in by Sarries, they mast have offered Biggar a fortune.

Northampton have needed someone to put the ball between the sticks with metronomic repetition for a while and Dan will also add some structure.

I agree they had a real lesson handed to them by Sarries...but ..they will not be the only one to get that from them to be honest..Brits played a brilliant game .

I am sure Dan will not be short of loose change by the move so it will be a positive financial deal for sure.

It will be the opportunity that suits Sam Davies but it will great opportunity for the lad to step up ..will be an interesting season.

Sure, take the money while you can. I'm not sure if it will help him develop particularly, but it's a decent move and I'm sure very well paid.

It can't come sooner for Sam Davies though, wish it was now, not next year - he's being held back.

Maybe the Ospreys will start to use him as the primary selection more often this season..it would be a logical move to switch to bed them together as a group to reduce switching styles.
As I mentioned it will be an interesting season.
