PS, I am assuming Price intended to do this... Pretty aimless kick otherwise lol.

I wish Glasgow would just kick the leather off the ball.

Yup. Connacht shouldn't even be in this. Some really braindead stuff from Glasgow today. But it's a great result - away from home at tough opposition and in shocking conditions.

I'm sure that Glasgow brand of rugby will rip many teams to shreds but they need a plan B. To play what's in front of them. Despite the win they didn't do that very well today tbh.

That Pyrgos kick at the end summed it up. Clock red and Glasgow turn the ball over. He doesn't kick it dead... boots it downfield to the Connacht 22. Sure, tis nigh on impossible for Connacht to mount an attack from there but why take the risk? He put his team under serious pressure for a needless extra 3 mins.

Congrats to the weggies on the win. Lots to work on though.

It`s a win.. Looks like Rennie is more Toonyish than Townsend.. Interesting times ahead..
Price very sharp, Sarto, class with one touch..

Good win. Game wasnt thay impressive bit I would imagine conditions were even wprse to play in that it looked. If it will take a few weeks for Rennie's systems to come to fruition, it is a good sign if we are picking up tough away wins now

Some times you just need dig out a win without overanalysing things. This is one of those I think.

I mean the carries per metre ratio is nothing special, but on a day like that some of those were pretty crucial, a couple of handling errors aside.

He was good. Usually is. Until he slips on a bar of soap in the showers and is out of the game for a few months with injury...

Don't know if anyone already posted it but Hastings is fine. It looked pretty bad as he went off but the injury is a significant laceration to his leg from a stud which required stitches so he will be out for a couple of weeks while that heals which is good news.

Russell didn't play a huge amount of rugby this summer so would expect him to be on the bench against the Ospreys at the very least.

Good. Thought Hastings was pretty decent. Weight of pass lovely at times, including on the play leading to Price's try.

Gavlet's got a fair bit of potential in him - a much better buy than Wee Tam (Heathcote)

Thought that Hastings sat quite deep most of the time, sensibly so given the conditions, but when he attacked the line he was willing to put the ball very flat. Weirdly that almost always came after starting deep and charging up to the gain line. Quite effective but he'll need to show a little more variety as the season goes on. A good first impression though.

George Turner must be on top of the world right now. Hope he makes a good impression.

Really like the look of that side. Hughes lucky to be in there ahead of Sarto perhaps.

Was just reading this and it's crazy how young some of these guys still are. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/41142453 Very positive looking for Rennie's Glasgow.

He is a good example of how it should work between the 2 pro sides. Edinburgh have 3 established hookers (Rambo was very good last week) and Glasgow had 1 international standard hooker and McArthur.

Rory Hughes has the best haircut in world rugby. He should walk into any team on that basis alone.

Was wondering out load to myself the other day if Dunbar still had his pace. Seems he does alright.

That was a cracking finish from him there.
