Pro14 week 3
Dragons v Connacht
Ulster v Scarlets
Ospreys v Munster
Blues v Warriors
So some interesting matches could be another 1 win weekend for the Welsh teams but it could bring out some better performances .That said Ulster are never easy at the Kingspan.

Re: Pro14 week 3
Ulster have quite a few injuries and Best is still being rested post Lions, so I'm feeling quite confident about this one, Piutau is a big loss for them.ALunpg wrote:Dragons v Connacht

I think the Dragons will be targeting their game as a potential win, tho I think a losing bonus point would be a decent result for them.

Ulster/Scarlets is on the red button in England. Looking forward to this game. Patch, Henry, Tadhg, Jake et al. Marius is reffing. Could be very interesting.

It should be a good game, the forecast is for dry weather so that should help the Scarlets.kk67 wrote:Ulster/Scarlets is on the red button in England. Looking forward to this game. Patch, Henry, Tadhg, Jake et al. Marius is reffing. Could be very interesting.

Great result for the Dragons.
And a cracking game in NI. I thought the Scarlets might nick it, but Ulster dominated much of that game and deserved the win.

As an Ulster supporter I thought we were lucky enough to nick it, despite all the possession. The Scarlets are a tremendous counterattacking team and a joy to watch. Some sloppy play from both sides but overall great entertainment.
Where does Stef Evans rank in the Welsh wing peck order now?
Looks as though he should be starting for Wales.

I doubt he will start the big games, for those expect Liam Williams, Halfpenny and North. Halfpenny and Williams are playing well enough to suit Gatland and apparently North is doing well so the best Evans will do is the bench.
I think his form is good enough for a start, but I don't think he will get one. At best, he might get time against Georgia.

What the hell is going on in the Ospreys camp? This is a terrible start.

Fantastic work from the Dragons (wish it had been televised). Not so great from the others, although all of the losses were close (ish).
The Ospreys forwards seemed to be physically (or as Tandy suggests, mentally?) unequal to the collisions. Munster pushed us back by running straight at us. The O's wanted to play a more subtle game, but often couldn't hold onto the ball in dreadful conditions.
Nice to see a bit of the old Hooky magic though.

It was the worst Glasgow performance I've seen in a long time. Alarm bells should be ringing at Cardiff.

Well I got it right ...just not the one I expected...well done Dragons indeed an awesome win that will start them believing they can compete .Son of Mathonwy wrote:Fantastic work from the Dragons (wish it had been televised). Tandy was on the button ..sluggish slow and unconvincing in the contact. You can coach people as much as you want but if they don't start at the kick off its an uphill battle. Now whether the coach or is it the players not showing commitment I don't know...but these are professional players ..it should not need a coach to get them up and running after the dismal display they put up in the playoffs last season.
As for the Scarlets damn they look good but the precision is not there as yet ...but it will come and when it does it will be something to watch.
Blues yep ..Glasgow were not boiling but they are a hard team to beat on or off form. The Blues yet do not have the confidence in themselves yet...but it looked better than it did last year at times.

Chuffed for the Dragons, Henson seems to be steering the ship well from 10 so far.
Osprey's have looked bloody awful.
Cardiff played well from what I saw & really should've tied that game up.
Scarlets good but Ulster played very well.

It was good fun. Marius wants all the players to have a chance to play at their best. He has that empathy for them and consequently we get some nice rugby.
