Well, this just sort of popped up on my youtube. It's staggering the rate that he says idiotic things. These don't even include anything from the last year but it's quite a little collection when all viewed at once.

Yes. The president is commander in chief and should return the salute when offered. Less annoying than politicians who have never served wearing uniform, or even those baseball caps.

This is a big f'ck you to the Republicans. Strange.
The republicans were a vehicle for trump to run for office. Nothing more. The battle between him and the republican hierarchy will be very interesting. The Times was calling this new departure Trumpism the other day, time will tell if it's that distinctive.

Didn't Trump dodge the draft like 4 times?

The Senate and Congress have listened carefully to the great deal maker and his proposal to cut funding to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) to direct funding away from science research and toward greater spending. They've listened so carefully they've not only ignored requests to cut NIH funding they've increased it and added terms to make it near impossible for the Whitehouse to amend the model being used to calculate payments as it'd appear they simply don't trust the Whithouse and think it best to simply ignore the great deal maker.

Canute had more success with waves at times than Trump with his own party's houses of congress

He certainly dodged it, not sure how many times. Now he is potus I don't suppose that matters in terms of etiquette. There isn't much difference between Trump in a Navy baseball cap and Macron in a flying suit, its bollocks either way.

Personally, I think military personnel should only salute a Head of State if said HoS is/has served in the armed forces.
If not just coming to attention should suffice

Saluting the head of state isn't an issue in my opinion. I don't event mind the salute being returned. I do dislike the wearing of military uniforms and memorabilia just to look the part. In the same line, I saw a picture of Angela Leadsom the other day where she was in a chemistry lab dressed for the part and looking like she was doing something scientific. Why? She has never been a scientist, why pretend. One the one hand its cheesy and on the other its irritating.

And watching Boris being driven around in a tank is just ludicrous, although Macron pitching up in flight gear is probably the most annoying.

Some labs require you to wear a lab coat, hair nets, in some clean rooms you need to be fully suited.

I should think the really issue is that it is Andrea Leadsom, regardless of attire.

I get the need to wear ppe for a visit, just the post of looking like she knew what she was doing there. That sort f thing reminds me of tin pot dictators who claim to have invented stuff or who are photographed doing manual labour for 5 minutes.

Always best in the early stages of an extremist incident to just jump in and spout off any old nonsense. Especially if after Charlotsville when you'd said you'd held off wanting to hear the facts and still go it so badly wrong you just thought wtf, and who cares if they're an ally

Dudes armed with assault rifles march under the nazi banner, shout incendiary racist obscenities side by side with support for trump, dude rams his car into opposition protestors, killing one, Trump says nothing for three days because:

"I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct, not make a quick statement," Trump explained to reporters. "The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement. But you don't make statements that direct unless you know the facts. It takes a little while to get the facts."

An improvised explosive device goes off on a London train, and he is all over it like white on rice at 6:00am that same day.

Kids, are we seeing a pattern here?

Could the pattern be that when certain groups with certain skin tones may be behind attacks, Trump has easy access to Twitter?

It was nice to finally hear the moderate side of Trump at the U.N.

What a fucking tool bragging about being able to destroy another country at the UNITED Nations. The man is absolutely mental.

It may as well have been written by Benny Nettybaws. Trumps natural abilities as an orator and his command of English only made it better. Did you clock him looking for praise with his Venezuela comment regarding "socialism"? Welcome to USandA. Please set your watches back 60 years.

It's kind of fascinating reading about this Jeff Mateer bloke, seeing there is somebody else out there who speaks in this same indescribable manner as Trump. Is this what endears him to big Donald? Aside from being a raging bigot of course.

"There are people who marry themselves. Somebody wanted to marry a tree. People marrying their pets. It's just like -- you know, you read the New Testament and you read about all the things and you think, 'Oh, that's not going on in our community.' Oh yes it is."

I mean that's about the least offensive quote I've read from this guy, but the way it is put together is brilliant. If at all accurate.

It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.

Did you see the US Ambassador to the UN? She looked absolutely horrified the more & more he went on. I got the feeling if she
could have she would have got up & told the UN that actually Mr Diddy Hands was an imposter & the real US President
would be along later

Ooof! Look at that.

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/ ... 2a22a1a049

“You know, I could maybe give you 10 reasons why this bill shouldn’t be considered,” Grassley said. “But Republicans campaigned on this so often that you have a responsibility to carry out what you said in the campaign. That’s pretty much as much of a reason as the substance of the bill.”

What a fucking shambles.

You still down with all this Coco? These people are literally insane.
