Glasgow are an amazing team, they were error prone, the line out was a total joke, the scrum was under pressure and they gave away penalties & possession like nobody’s business, but yet they were brilliant at times, well organised & drilled when the ball was in play & were just so watchable. Another BP is a great result.

Their set piece desperately needs sorting out, better teams will punish that profligacy, and they need more talent in midfield and, although he’s done well, Jackson lacks the pace needed to really penetrate from fullback. It’s been a great start to the season, I expect to see a much changed team next week, those players will be goosed!

Glasgow will struggle against Exeter, a well drilled team although they struggled to impose their game plan.

If weeg can steady the scrum and fix the line out and the weather is dry then I think weeg have the edge but it will be a pretty close game.

Great to watch but Im pretty worried about that set piece. Apart from Munster they have let every team in the game this year. Exeter might be able to strangle it if they do the same

Just watching the game now and Glasgow are giving away 19kgs in the scrum but I agree. They're also starting to look quite a feisty team. Every week there is some little qua blue going on, usually with one of th faegersons in the centre of it.

How much better does gray look btw for a bit of time off?

First game back at altitude, thought he was a bit quiet but most of the team struggled at times.

Will be interesting to see if the AP or pro 14 comes out on top.

I think pro 14 may edge it with the amount of injuries in the AP.

That saffa has some serious wheels and that he chased him down where a lot of players wouldn’t. Top effort Nick Grigg. For a small, solid chap he’s got some seriously quick legs.

Boring as fuck though going by his HT piece on Alba.

Sorry for the double post. I think the Jonny Gray decision isnt just on reputation. He is a better player than the other two and they have decided that with the benefit of a game he is likely to be better than the other options. A bit of a gamble but not just based on a big rep. I would prefer Cummings over Swinson though

Oh and I have another gripe. Niko... The bloke is a 9 who, due to his athleticism, can cover wing & 15 at a stretch. Why on earth are Glasgow not using this to their advantage and getting rid of Pyrgos and sticking Sarto in there?

That kind of cover is almost unheard of in this day & age yet Rennie fails to take advantage of it each week. Odd.

Glasgow are unbeaten this season. Players need to earn their shirts as & when they come back from injury. Even Hogg.

Parachuting players back in is a dangerous precedent IMO. J Gray was rank rotten against the Cheetahs & should be allowed to play himself back into form.

We will see. Still confident Glasgow can get a result though.

re: Pyrgos on the bench. Maybe it’s more of a style thing? As in if we are winning with ten to go and Price is knackered, who would you rather have on the bench to see the game out?

Can see the flip side though.

Also, re: GrayJu, I doubt he’ll play a full 80 - Cummins in with half an hour or so to go is probably a better call than the other way round. Also, I think Swinson can play flanker at a push.

Anyway, will be good to see a few hard early hits on their 8 and 10, and see where we go from there. Need to keep the heids!
