Haha. A touch so small it doesn’t change the flight of the ball clearly wouldn’t matter anyway.

I think it does change the flight, albeit not enough for it to miss Billy by that much.

It all makes sense now. 55 mins of stodge at 9 lulled them into a false sense of security. Brilliant.

Possibly the most naturally talented player in attack that Eng have had in goodness knows how long and all Smith is tasked with is pulling the ball back to Farrell or Nowell. Sigh.

We just look so much more urgent and alive with JVP at 9. He's taking at least a second off every ruck compared to Youngs.
Smith looks like no-one's played with him before. He keeps getting the ball, looking for a pass and every other member of his team has overrun and gone past him. It's bizarre. I genuinely don't think our backline would look significantly worse if we just took Smith off and played with 14 - that's not a criticism of Smith, but of everyone else who just isn't offering him anything.

Looking forward to the 9/10 Farrell rating citing his kicking % in tomorrows papers.

Why isn't Willis on already? It's not as though he's lightning or anything, but part of our problem with being slow can surely be amended by getting one of our locks off. Preferably Itoje so we don't have to keep listening to him Wilhelm scream every time he thinks he's had a foul play done to him.

He's making good yards and distributing well, but needs to be less ambitious with a wet ball. He is a high quality 8.
