So, what do we expect the reaction to be? Same pack, drop Smith, keep Youngs, bring in a Porter/Manu midfield, put Steward onto the wing and recall Furbank at 15?

"No changes, mate. my boys put up a good fight and deserve another shot next week"
I can see that, but I will be astounded if Smith starts next week. Too easy a scapegoat.

Honestly not sure if I can bring myself to watch tbh. Sure the wife can give me some DIY to be getting on with. Besides a bit of scrum dominance (at times) genuinely nothing you can hang your hat on from that performance.

It's like Eddie thought:
You know what's the best way to break down a defence? Make every ruck last as long as possible to give the defence a chance to get into shape. And then, you know what, let's not bother with pace, so we can't go round the outside. That way the defence can just sit narrow and know we can't go around them. That's the perfect way to win a test match.
It's not as if any of us could have seen that...
Cokanasiga's a big culprit for that. Yes, he can make a few metres barging people over, but he's *so* slow to get to ground and get the ball back. Drains any momentum out of a move by the time he's finally been hauled to ground and allows his team to have the ball back.

Coles did ok in the loose, mostly. Coka was up for it. JVP was decent bar one option.

My favourite moment was when Farrell was banging on about difficult conditions meant neither team were able to keep the ball in hand and the interviewer pointed out that Arg managed it well enough when scoring two tries.

I did quite like his aggression tho.
The striking feature was how stupid a lot of what we did was. We aren't bright.
BTW Argentina are a decent side- normally at home tho

Cokanasiga did okay, but he mostly just carried a few blokes over the gainline (including a couple over the tryline tbf). Don't remember him actually beating a player in any of his carries.
He was better than Nowell, but not sure it was a stand out performance.

Good for Sonja. She gets a lot of stick but those were perfectly valid questions. Farrell uninspiring in the extreme and retreating into cliche as ever.

oh I do-a lot of brain dead play sans ball. But poorly selected and prepared- black marks all round.
Youngs has to go, and Smith doesnt seem at all comfy.

thats a low bar- and I only said I liked his aggression, as he has been passive sometimes.

Not really his fault that. Ball was so slow to get out to him he was usually running in to their backrow.

Both wings were poor. Neither should be starting. I just wish that was our only problem.
Argentina were less than good and had to do little to leave with a win. I am truly at a loss to what Jones and his coaching ferrets are actually paid for.

From initial selection, through preparation, game plan, discipline, general on-field nous and competiveness was anything good? What is worse, have we any right, based on the last three years, to expect it to be?

being well harsh on coka, made a hundred yards and scored a try, no missed tackles. He was ok.
