Absolutely. But I feel like I’d actually pay to go and see this team, with no prior training, play against the one from yesterday.
That’s not a thing I remember feeling very often with this current side.

We didn't learn much positive from the autumn, even then it's more what we didn't learn that's concerning. What exactly is the game plan? What are we trying to achieve? It's not very clear. Squidge-type analysis aside, consistently losing games and showing very little is not good world cup prep, or prep for anything unless there is a method. We've shown SA that they can walk through us without their first string line up, and with only 14 for the last 15/20 mins. I'd be very interested to understand exactly what Eddie and Co. have believe they've learned, I'm sure it's frightfully interesting

Apart from results and what the scoreboard tells us, most of the rest is subjective - form, performance, mood, body language, discipline etc. can all be used to back opinion. I'd suggest that since the RWC SF win over NZ our performances have varied between 55 and 80 per cent of 'best possible'. At the very least, one can claim a disappointing lack of progress, consistency and positivity. On the back of that, quite what could be claimed on the credit side is beyond me. As p/d might say, award a point for wearing the right kit?
