Amazing match, as good as I can recall in recent memory

Amukashvilli was man of the match there

The absolute guts on ardie savea to chase back against bierre biery on the 78th minute ,unreal

I could only listen. Sounds like we had our chances but made mistakes in possession. Is that about right?

That's harsh if anything

Both sides played great

Was just a brilliant, enthralling game of rugby.
Neither side was perfect, neither side "deserved" to lose

Some rules being trialled definitely need to be reviewed. When just running into someone who happens to be near enough the ball during a kick-chase is likely to yield a penalty, that's a potential points hack that needs to be addressed.

A bit disappointing, but I think Scooter will be better for this as a captain. Opting to go for the points made sense, but he really should've gone for the lineout when they were getting penalties in the French 22.

Statistically, the All Blacks were all over the French, and would have won it on any other day. Just not today, unfortunately. It is what it is, and pushing a top quality French team to the limit on their own patch at this point in the rebuild year in the current cycle is not a bad outcome. This team will be a whole different beast in 12 months.

Not a good performance at all.

He wasn't the main problem, but I don't think Barrett has it as a top test starting ten anymore. His telegraphed chips just don't come off enough.

Also, need to clean up the attacking rucks. Been messy the last three weeks.

Keep in mind, it's also a game that came at the end of a very long tour, and these final matches are very difficult to get up for.

Italy is also a better team now than people seem to give credit for, and this morning's result is largely in line with their losing tests these days. They still occasionally have matches where they get a shitload of points put on them, but their losing margins are getting smaller and smaller. And hell, this is also the same Italy that had France beat in France during the 6 Nations, that can legitimately point to the ref and say "that son of a bitch robbed us of a win."
