All countries do it/have done it to greater or lesser extents, have you never heard of 'The Great Game'?
No, that's not what I claimed at all. You could only have arrived at that conclusion by ignoring the bulk of what I had written We'd have to go back to the British Empire to find something on a similar scale to this. Dozens of countries bombed, scores more manipulated, tens of millions dead and hundreds of millions adversely effected. So before you accuse others of being delusional, you need to stop twisting words and ignoring what has actually been written. & UG was a lot smarter and more knowledgeable than you, my friend.
Yes, which was engaged with Russia for most of the 19th century in 'The Great Game' (started 1830 finished 1895)for control of Afghanistan &
neighbouring territories. So don;t tell me that Russia has taken part in these sort of shenanigans before or since.

I have read what you have posted but, as has been posted before on numerous occasions & by numerous posters, you only tend to
right denunciations of the US/UK & praise & admiration for Russia no matter what other evidence is presented. In this I find you the
most bigoted poster on here. You do on a occasion post some interesting & thought provoking stuff (your thread on Turkey for example)
but the vast majority of your posts I just find depressing (particularly those on the 'Funny Images' thread in the Crooked feed)

ps before you get all high & mighty: OED definition of 'bigoted' obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, and intolerant towards other people's beliefs and practices.

pps bigoted can also be applied to other posters on here not just you
And of course, Russia has been an expansionist state for much of its existence. Poland, Baltic States, Ukraine and other countries which are regarded as the near abroad will testify to that. Of coure, Russia has been invaded by a variety of other powers, but to claim that they are the victim is to ignore many historical facts.

This thread is a good example of how confused people can get, both about the real world, and the imaginary one in your own heads. Just to take you back to the original post, this has nothing to do with anything you lot are now on about. That's all denialism, smokescreens and railing at phantoms.

Don't point the finger elsewhere, don't try to make disingenuous comparisons, and don't bother with the ad hominem/shoot the messenger responses. Just read it for what it is:

US Has Killed More Than 20 Million People in 37 “Victim Nations” Since World War II

Could you not just make one thread and call it that, rather than ramming it into every thread on the board?

Personally, I think any 'report' or 'self-styled study' that uses wikipedia as a reference for citation isn't likely to be entirely accurate.

I have no doubt that the US is either directly, or indirectly involved in many deaths around the world since WW2, but that article reeks of BS.

It not only reeks of BS, it quite simply is. Take just one line 'The U.S. is responsible for between 1 and 1.8 million deaths during the war between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan, by luring the Soviet Union into invading that nation.' and one sees that deaths caused by the Soviets and Afghanis fighting are attributed to the USA, and really it is drivel to oddly suggest the Soviets weren't responsible and the US are, and makes as much sense as blaming the US now for Russia's bombing campaign across Syria.

Which isn't to say of course that the USA like most nations hasn't done an awful lot of very nasty things, they have, and actually to lose sight of that which one can legitimately criticise the US for by attempting to smear them with rubbish allows the US of the hook to some degree, in that if the charges are patently rubbish and the preserve of lunatics there's no need for the US to respond, why should they.

Oops sorry, didn't realize you'd been promoted to lord and master officially, I thought it was still only in your head.

My post wasn't ad hom btw, nor designed to shoot the messenger, despite the juvenile bigotry your posts on this thread and others contain. (Threw some ad hom in there so you can see the difference).

Seeing as you like to believe what you read on the internet, I found something that might interest you...

Hilariously thin-skinned as well. I didn't expect a light nudge would send him so far off the deep end that he'd get himself perma-banned and that Kamber would dive in after him.

The CIA did the Twin Towers, you mean? I've never believed that, but it certainly appears to have been the catalyst for a series of imperialist wars right across the Middle East one way or another. So who's next? According to Wesley Clark's list, it could be Iran.

I believe Trump has pledged to open an investigation into Saudi involvement in 9/11, something Obama lacked the courage to proceed with. It will be very interesting to see where that leads. How ironic, given most of the hijackers were Saudis, that America has devoted much of its time these past fifteen years to destroying the kingdom's enemies.

War is profitable . . .

Saudi Arabia was the top recipient of American-made arms from 2011-2015, followed closely by the United Arab Emirates, according to research compiled by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), which has been analyzing international arms transfers since 1968.

The rest of the top 10 included Turkey, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Iraq, and Egypt.
Experts believe the Middle East will remain a top destination for weapons for some time -- it currently accounts for about 40% of U.S. arms exports -- especially given the rise of ISIS (read US-backed mercenaries, Saudi-backed Jihadi terrorists, authentic resistance fighters, and lone wolf mass murderers).

Profitable indeed...

An Islamic State car bomb killed more than 50 people on Friday in a Syrian village held by rebels, a war monitor said, a day after the jihadist group was driven from its last stronghold in the area.

The blast in the village of Sousian hit a security checkpoint controlled by rebels fighting under the Free Syrian Army (FSA) banner.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitor of the war based in Britain, said more than 50 people died including over 30 civilians. Two rebels contacted by Reuters put the total death toll at least 40.

U.S.-backed Iraqi security forces advanced deeper into the western half of Mosul on Friday one day after launching attacks on several fronts toward Islamic State's last main stronghold in the city.

Troops had recaptured Mosul airport on Thursday, an important prize in the battle to end the jihadists' control of territory in Iraq.

Counter-terrorism forces managed on Friday to fully control the Ghozlani army base, pushing deeper toward the southwestern districts of Tal al-Rumman and al-Mamoun, a military spokesman said.

Federal police and an elite Interior Ministry unit known as Rapid Response are clearing the airport of roadside bombs and booby traps left by Islamic State militants who retreated from their positions there on Thursday.
