I mean, I hope you're right but I can still picture him winning.

I'm hoping the NYT story about his tax returns is spot on and evidence is released in the coming days to support it as that will piss off quite a few voters...especially after Trump insisted he paid millions in taxes instead of $750.

I put a reasonable amount of faith in fivethirtyeight's analysis of the polls and they have it as Biden wins the election 80 times in 100, with there being a relatively decent chance of getting a caning.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/20 ... -forecast/

I'm still terrified that he'll turn it around, but I'm hopeful that the odds are not in his favour.

Most polls had him getting his arse handed to him last time round...

Presently, in terms of world political news, nothing would make me happier than the sight of Trump being escorted from the White House next month but I'm not gonna start counting chickens just yet.

Edit: interesting link though! Have seen some of their forecasts on Twitter but haven't visited their site. Some interesting metrics. Ta Puja

I believe 538 had his victory at 45/100 last time which, while they were wrong on their prediction, is very different to 20/100. Plus the poll lead in the swing states for Clinton was 1-2%, which means it only took a small error to flip them - Biden's up by 6-10%.

He's far from out of it though. I hate the idea of him winning.

Technically, it would be "serious, but not critical"

Its a bit difficult to understand what is really happening when there are so many contradictory press releases from the WH and the hospital. If anything, the WH releases tend to be a bit more concerning regarding Trump's health.

Its not crackpot conspiracy theory (to quite the Sunday Times) to believe that its possible that there is an element of horse shit in this somewhere.

The mixed messages are clearly deliberate. The media does the rest. How ill is he really? Did he have oxygen? Who will run the country? Etc, etc, etc...

Meanwhile, the Dems pull anti-Trump ads, Trump's core support organise support rallies which galvanise the right, there doesn't seem to be any talk of tax returns, the second debate may be pulled...

Damage limitation mode success.

The mixed messages are more likely a sign of ineptness and/or normal confusion than any masterful 4D chess game

There's nothing masterful about it. It's standard spin.

It's more the standard of the occasional spinner, say Graeme Hick level rather than a standard Ashley Giles level

Anyone think things are still not being manipulated?

Photos of the brave, courageous and possibly close to death Trump working at Walter Reed whilst fighting off the deadly virus. His commitment to the American people never waivers.

The exif data shows the photos were taken 10 mins apart and closer inspection shows he is signing a blank piece of paper.

Photo op much?

I've faced Hick's spin, it wasn't great. Nowhere close to Illingworth

True - unlucky to get usurped by the other lefty, Tuffers in the test team.Did good things at a local club for a while after Wuss. too.
Tuffers is now looking for work, but I think his stylee would be a bit dangerous, even for DT.

The amount of bullshit surrounding this is suffocating. No one is giving a clear cogent account of events. Everything is murky. Barbie the Press Secretary is just a vapid overly made up waste of space. Yeah, he has staged a couple of photo ops, but he always does that. He is irrelevant to the actual machinery of government. However, given the blanket irresponsibility with regards public health, I'd say the White House is riddled with cases and he wanted the fuck out of there. I think that in a couple of weeks time, there will be a shed load of new cases all traceable to him and the cretins in his immediate orbit. Theses morons were maskless and sitting right up close to each other at the debate, and events at the white house prior to that. His daughter/wife for example has been flying all over the place for photo ops pretty much constantly. It's just negligence on a massive scale and they are responsible for people that get ill as a result. They are entitled feckless wankers, every last one of them.

What's not clear, the president is taking experimental drugs because he's so well and unaffected, so well he'll be going home tomorrow. This could hardly be clearer

Steroids too - I thought medical treatment was diagnosis based.
It sounds like panic stations, but they know best ...if he's back at the ranch tomorrow, all worth it eh.

Either he is fine and the WH are trying to make it sound serious to gain sympathy. Or he isn’t fine and the doctors are trying to keep a positive face on it.

We will know either way in about a week. Until then who knows.

He's fine.

In about a week, you'll see that he is still a fat orange wanker.

Drive past now?

Fair play, he has some serious patriotism to suspend dying in order to thank his core support. None of whom will be wearing masks or social distancing.

My hero.

Someone catch me cos I'm swooning big time...

Thud.
