A train wreck of a character. Just talks shit all the time. Utter shit.

His zombie fuck doll VP is a horrible haunted corpse of a person. I don't think I've ever heard the lamp shade speak at any length before, and I clearly wasn't missing out on anything. He has no redeeming features at all other than a career as a closet deviant patriarch of some grim black and white nightmare. Just the epitome of a political dinosaur. Low taxes, Jebus, pro-life (whatever the fuck that means), and that is it. The first one is the only thing that keeps him relevant to the corporate welfare beneficiaries. Trickle down economic theory. Lets keep pushing that because it has worked out so well for everyone over the last 40 years. This country so badly needs a woman at the helm right now.

You forgot that he wants to 'h*ng the g*ys'. I think that's a Trump quote IIRC.

This is a real tweet. Donald is clearly off his tits on his COVID medication.

Accusing the Democrats of organising a coup is low even for him. If there is violence after the poll, the fault can be firmly placed in one direction.

I'm praying for a Democrat landslide so its not even close enough to make the postal vote fraud argument, and its equally clear on election results night that he has lost. Anything else and I fear the worse.

This. A clear result is needed, so not even Fox News can 'call it' for Trump.

Do we really think there's a result that won't be questioned? A landslide for radical leftists Biden/Harris is only going to be viewed as more suspicious, surely.

The difference is the credibility of the questioning. Trump's gonna whine and claim he was cheated even in a landslide and his disciples are going to spin ever more elaborate conspiracy theories regardless. The issue is going to be if anyone outside of his base and bubble believe and are willing to go along with it.

There is a very real scenario that, due to Democrats being more likely to vote by mail and Republicans in person, that on-the-night results show Trump in the lead in enough states to get 270 in the Electoral College, with postal votes still being counted. In that situation, Trump declares victory, gets Fox News trumpeting his re-election and declares the remaining postal votes fake and starts dragging it into the courts which he's packed.

What the 538 prediction is showing at the moment is Biden being over 6% ahead in enough states to get over 270. Even with the skew of more postal votes being D than R, that lead should be enough to give Biden 270 on the night (or at least close enough that Trump doesn't have 270 that he can declare either) and we can then wait for all the votes to be counted to see the scale of the Trump loss.

In the first example, Trump is in the position of power and only has to spread enough shit to avoid being removed. In the second, Trump will still whinge that it's unfair, but at that point the regular election norms mean that Biden is presumed President-elect and the Trumpster fire will have to actively prove that he's been cheated and even Republican judges will not be keen to overturn a clear democratic mandate without something like proof.

I think Florida could be key. Biden leads by 3.6% in the prediction, but Florida has enough experience of early voting and mail-in ballots that they stand a good chance of getting their full results out early and the stupidity of the Electoral College means that, if they declare for Biden, then there's no real way Trump can make 270 from his other states.

Trump has seemingly appointed some loony tune judges in the lower courts, some even with little legal background, but in higher level court that matters I'm doubtful in advance any serious judge is going to rule against ballots on the grounds Trump would like. Perhaps I'm just not mistrusting enough in advance but I expect even the judges Trump will have appointed to the supremes will go with the law not Trump

This. If Trump is ahead on the night and is close to 270 then he will dig in and spin. And if the final margin is close enough for doubt then expect some real issues in the months ahead. If Biden is ahead after the actual counting night then, with the prospect of increasing his lead, then it’s hard for sane people to argue that the election is flawed.

Some tasty descriptives there -
there must be some direct correlation generally between 'lackadaisical' local management with 'dangerously incompetent' leaders, and consistently getting tanked by the virus.

What actually happens to the doctors saying he's symptom free whilst he's busy spluttering/coughing into a microphone?

Nothing?

I can just picture the doctors having to field questions on this one below.

It says something about the man that this is going around and nobody can quite tell if it's a real quote or not.

This one is fake Mikey. It's arrogant enough to fit, but too eloquent to be credible. I saw it on a fact check website. Somewhere.

Only a matter of time given the current incitement from the Presidential twitter account. Sadly.

I wonder if Twitter are going to remove his account based on the potential for violence to be incited?

Its far past the time when far right domestic terrorism should be clamped down on. Inciting violence is a crime if it results in harm. Even if no harm results, such as the Whitmer case, is still an offense. About time Twitter followed the law.

We're seeing a similar level of success in the UK, unfortunately there's nothing we can do about the incompetents.

The slow one who can't pass, are we back to Sam Burgess again? Which seems apt, given recent revelations Burgess seems like he might be a Trump fan

Early voting is making a slight step forward on the last cycle. This time in 2016 it was closing on 100,000 early votes having been cast, this time around it's closing toward 10,000,000.

Anyone know if there has been any changes in the latest reliable polls...specifically since the super specimen master race Trump left hospital?

Just seen that a right wing protestor has been shot and killed by a private security guard hired by a local TV station in Denver.

That'll be painted as a win by the right. A law abiding, American loving patriot murdered by the Liberal media.

Biden has a solid national poll lead, Trump isn't gaining and if anything it's getting worse, but Biden is far from home and dry in pretty much all the swing states. So it's really down to how much the vote is suppressed by some combination of voter apathy and both parties (though one party more than the other)
