Cowardly and shocking

Truley deserving of a lifetime ban from anything to do with rugby IMO. He'll probably claim he was going for a player and she got in the way but in reality there was nobody even close for him to tackle. The Italian police really should be looking in to this sheer thuggery.

3 year ban, you'd think that would end his career.

Ludicrous. Even if that was somehow an accident it would show he doesn't have the mental capacity / spatial awareness / depth perception to be playing this game. Let alone tackle technique.

You would have thought someone would have had a stern word with him, right there and then.

That is a fricking disgrace, on so many levels.

At 34 a 3 year ban is career ending, but it should be a life ban anyway, never to be involved with the game again.

I also agree with the comments below about the police.

Agreed. No doubt it was deliberate. Somebody should have smacked him hard.

Reminds me of that recent incident in Germany where a woman was kicked down the steps. 2 other men are in the frame and neither did much at all. Lots of similar incidents have been caught on camera in Turkey as well.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?
