How lucky are we? Our part time fitness coach that hasn't been seen since last years 6 nations is about to get even more part timier!

WTF do we pay this guy for? Why the fuck are the WRU allowing it? I'm surprised Boujelal is allowing it too.

Gats is just surrounding himself with ex wasps, jobs for the boys!

I did a youth coaching cert about 20 years or more ago. I'll await my Lions call up in the post imminently, since it seems any other coach with connections to Wales is touring.

On another note, our legendary fitness did seem to be lacking in the AIs. It might be a bit 2+2=4 to assume that our part time fitness coaches employment status is the problem but something certainly wasn't right.

So ...are we having a go at the WRU or the guy himself?
If its the latter then he is a consultant and not a permanent staffer ... so yep he can do as he wishes
If we are having a pop at the WRU then that is fair game ...why dont we have someone as a permanent fixture...I can imagine it is all down to cost... but if our AI fitness was being questioned ...damn lets be happy he is here for the 6N if he is making a positive impact.

As to the summer tour..it will be an opportunity for Huw Bennett to develop.

Maybe someone else may have a better insight into this part of the WRU finances and thought structure.

What difference would it make?

I wouldn't read too much into the fitness levels at the AIs, not much can be done in a short time period, this is why we always improve as tournaments progress.

I personally dont have a measurement to say there is a benefit to having Stridgeon full time ...but neither do I have one to say it is not.

So ...are we better off with a part time person such as Stridgeon or long term with someone maybe not as highly respected...for me ...I am happy Stridgeon is available for the 6N it will make a difference... would it make any for the AI.?

Most of this work is done pre season and built up ..and its a case of topping up....but only if the pre season went well or even happened. So I personally think it can gave a positive impact...does that need to be Stridgeon or Huw Bennett ...I think yes....but does he need to be full time..no..but hey its just my opinion.
