Windscreen washers US !

Post by Discreet Hooker »

I have a Citroen C3 and for some reason the water is not reaching the washers . I've dismantled the washers and cleaned them but the water is not reaching them from the bottle situated beneath the bonnet . Its a sealed unit under the wing and I'v tried cleaning it with a long handled flexi brush hoping to disturb whatever is blocking it but no luck . Any help/suggestions would be welcome . Btw have sponged it empty and have refilled with hot water !!! The bottle does not leak .

Its a sealed unit so you can't remove the pump from the tank? Can you hear the pump when you try to use the washers?

Why not drive your car around some of the poorer districts of town. Whenever you pull up at traffic lights, some homeless and hungry person will jump out and splash filthy water over your windscreen before making an opaque soup out of the accumulated filth using a pair of discarded underwear. For a few pounds he will proceed to smear this mess to the periphery of your windscreen, allowing you to pull away and be struck by the traffic that had built up impatiently behind you through a series of 5 or 6 changes of lights.

Or does this only happen in Africa and parts of Yorkshire?
