Cool
This guy is holding a sphere, note not a disc a sphere, painted with vantablack, the darkest pigment ever created. Spoiler: Lord Lucan will not like this picture.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yeah I've seen the application before, there is a few videos online of people shining torches on it and it just acts as some kind of black hole. Very cool, I really wish there was an opportunity to see it in the flesh (and I guess that would apply to Dory's as well, wa-hey)

It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none, none more black.
Blacker even than the All Blacks 'blackest ever' shirts?

The pigment is so black that it makes 3D objects look like a 2 dimensional shape.bruce wrote:Am I missing something here?

It's an impressive invention tbh.

I wonder if the CIA will use this stuff to paint the walls, floor and ceiling of a room used to interrogate people?
