Film 4 are showing this at the moment. I was tempted to just post this under last film watched but I felt it deserves it's own thread.
It is a stunning piece of work. Probably the finest 'Sporting' movie I've ever seen. I cried, I laughed, I got angry and there was joyous redemption. I scanned the credits for some clue as to the creative brilliance beyond the debut director/narrator Gabe Polsky .....and under the producers credits there was the name Werner Herzog.
The scenes with the old KGB officer and his Great-Granddaughter on the park bench.....beautiful.
