Everything that's wrong with the world, a play in 3 Acts

Post by Donny osmond »

People will pay someone £30 per hour to queue all night....

Meanwhile, while this particular corruption was mentioned briefly in the news...

Stories like this are routinely ignored by too many people...

We're fcuked. Not in a good way, in a very very bad way.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Tl;dr version

Dickheads queue all night to pay £1000 for the iPhone X, potentially making Apple a trillion dollar company. Meanwhile, vested interests in US politics promote environmental destruction; and the reason for the collapse of european orca populations is revealed as chemicals leaching into the food chain from waste building products used over the last 50 years, since banned but still causing untold damage and there's no way of stopping them.

Fucked fucked fucked.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Aye. Everything is shit and I hate everybody. I’m not even joking. It’s fucking hopeless. The only kind of people in power to do any good in the world are inherently the wrong kind of people. Let’s all fucking nuke ourselves.

The delegation of home schooled energy execs will anger people, but none of their arguments hold any water. They are simply documenting their willful ignorance for the historical record, much like tobacco chiefs did in the early '90s. The Orca thing is fucking depressing. Silent Spring part II. IF that shit accumulates in the food chain, then we are at risk too, so fuck.

The iPhone wankers can just take a flying fuck.

I fecking hate Orcas. They scoff seals and shit all over the ocean. Have you ever smelled your shit after scoffing lard-burgers? Imagine the state of an orca's shit after noshing a half ton of seal blubber.

Nearly 100 dead in under one month. Not a bad effort. I'm sure rescinding laws restricting sales to the mentally ill is looking pretty sound right about now.

What manner of demon hates Orcas FFS?

From the reports that I've read, the shooter in Sutherland Springs shouldn't have been able to legally purchase a firearm as he has a felony conviction.
In Texas, it is way too easy to work around the current laws.

BTW, I am neutral on Orcas.

Orcas are wonderful creatures. Not even an anecdotal recorded instance of an Orca attacking a human in the wild.
I watched Blue Planet II last night and just cannot stop thinking about it. The diversity and symbiosis of our world is jaw dropping.
Such a shame that all the humans are a bunch of pricks.

So you want to argue all humans are pricks, and orcas are wonerful 'cause they've never attacked a human?

I'm not claiming to have all the answers but there does seem to be a certain haphazard logic to that conclusion.
Watching the massive pod of Orcas cooperate with a massive pod of dolphins last night was a signal lesson in something.

I didn't see it, did they all get in a circle, join flippers and sing kumbaya?

Yup. That sums it up rather well.
It starts as a pursuit, then they declare pax, then they start comparing war wounds. It looked to me like the dolphins were indicating:
'You gave me this..'. And the Orcas were going.
'Oh yeah'

.....then they combine to hunt. It was fecking bizarre and some of the best tv I've ever seen.

So dolphins cooperated with other dolphins? How extraordinary.

I understand the concept of anthropomorphising animals. But I can also recognize symbiotic and emotive contact.

Funny thing. If you topologically flattened Wales...we'd be the biggest and we'd feck you all up.
