It appears France may oblige by running directly into the defense for 900 phases.

Zero creativity thus far. And by creativity I meam simple passing of the ball.

Did you see the French No. 8 knock on trying to take the quick tap off a penalty? Quality.

Well done Sonja, only 5 minutes after the rest of us.

Could be the video showed something after our replay finished, could be how stationary he was laying, could be a cynical use of the 10 minute allowance, for far from the first time.
If the latter, I hope they remember to actually donthe HIA last they be caught out like Saints in December 2016

Just who the feck does this Sexton bloke think he is? First he shouts at POM, then he questions Nige’s medical proficiency and with the game in the balance he fecks around doing a ROG impression. Hardly the behaviour expected of a so-called senior member of the squad.

Just make sure you don't sanitise Bundee Aki's game with those telegraphed wrap around/hospital pass moves.

Had we lost I think I might have latched on to the HIA thing and perhaps thought more of it than I do.

To be fair to Nige, it was abundantly clear that he did not believe that it was a legitimate HIA and asked the (French) 4th official a number of times whether the match doctor had called it; the 4th official confirmed that he had. Nige had no choice but to allow Machenaud back on.

I would hope that he is able to cite his doubts in his match report, requiring the French to show their working in terms of clinical evidence. Of course they will only need to show that they carried out an HIA. It is a shame that they appear to be quite blatant in exploiting the HIA protocols, but questioning the medical staff is just inviting tragedy. Perhaps the rules should be reviewed to allow any uninjured player to return to the field of play in the event of any injury?

Both had enough that we saw to justify an HIA, even if not cast-iron.
They were both called for by an independent Dr with access to more footage than we had. This needs would have had no interest in helping France, but a big interest in not leaving a concussed player on the pitch, which is a hell of a lot better than the previous situation.
IMO, this is a price well worth paying, and EPCR and PRL should look at doing the same thing.

For those who don't remember, leaving it club Drs means that Dom Ryan is official "winded" whilst clearly out cold, Ma'afu takes a knee to the head and loses all muscle tone, bit nothing happens, Faletau gets taken of "for an HIA" to assess his knee and North gets taken off "for an HIA" to check his shoulder with no HIA even performed (when he had lost consciousness). Oh, and the French prop taken off for a dubious HIA on the instructions of then French team Dr.
The previous system had this exact same flaws with the addition of greater cynicism and the addition of failing to actually conduct the HIA, or the Dr being the only person in the country who doesn't see the lights go out.

Not really Tigran. By all measures, including the final score, Ireland were the better side across the course of the game. Let’s not pretend that we nicked it against the run of play.

Ah ah, it's true your team dominated, wich was no surprise at all...but untill that drop France were winning..And they took the better of Ireland in the last ten minutes don't you think ?
Untill that long sequence of Ireland that didn't took them anywere but for that superb drop goal, from 45 meters..

Had Belleau (or maybe Bellend would be more pertinent) kicked that penalty, the result would probably have been different. Didn't he miss another one last season?
Question - Would Machenaud have been allowed to take that crucial penalty - which he would have nailed for sure?

That Keith Earls looks a hell of a player!

Feck sake Frankie, where have ye been? Earls has been around for donkeys. Admittedly he is hitting a real purple patch.

Fair enough Belleau missed a sitter, but so did Sexton so they even out on that score.
