Harry Nilsson's 'Without You', better than Welsh Band Badfinger's original.
The Outlaw's 'Ghost Riders in the Sky' rips the erse off the Johnny Cash version.

These are a bit...different.
Songs you will know performed (extremely well) in a very off beat way.

Amazing piece of work for a kid in his mid-teens and still one of my all-time favorite singles. Richie Valens was America's first Mexican pop star (his roots, like most Mexicans,' were predominantly Native American) and La Bamba became the nation's first major 'Latin American' hit.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Read the title, Newb'.Lizard wrote:Almost any cover of a Bob Dylan song
I saw David Bowie do 'White Light' on the Serious Moonlight tour. It was stunning.
I appreciate that's a Lou Reed reference but it seemed apposite.
Can't remember why.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I would say not strictly a cover given the reworked lyrics. I prefer the original personally.Stom wrote:Macy Gray - Teenagers
