Looks like it's France's year. They won the European American football championship for the first time a week or so back. The event had apparently been postponed from January due to administrative issues.

Wonder if all those teams have nicknames and, if so, what they are. The New Zealand team were, almost inevitably, known as the Iron Blacks. Not sure if they're still up and running.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Turkey has a team as well, which is not surprising, given about 60 high schools and universities apparently have teams across this nation.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?
